Unfinished business5 days later; feel blessed for the steps made during the proces & the way heading to @ironman_germany, the focus, the passion, the hours of training & pushing mind / body, it all felt great!The news two days before the race about the fact it got shortened made me pissed. Off course I understand the health concerns, and i guess it was for the best. So we decided to enjoy every meter of it.But now after a little rest & reflection about the race it feels like i have unfinished business. There was a lot left in the tank. We against me! Maanden lang fysiek en mentaal preppen voor een race, maar heel dit proces heeft o zoveel meer te weeg gebracht. Snippets van een prachtige dag! Dat de race door de hitte werd ingekort pikte even maar al snel kwam het besef dat het is wat het is. We make the best out of it. Dit hele proces heeft me veel geleerd, maar vooral veel appreciatie voor alle mooie mensen rondom mij, die er elke keer weer staan! Kleine shout out naar coach & beste support team @marijnsourbron, @celine.neef voor het tolereren van al die uren, de massages, power food, kleine man voor papa te laten trainen, Ruben de bike fixer, @osteoschilde voor alle oplapwerk. @ironman_germany, Frankfurt, Prachtige sfeer, prachtige vrijwilligers! De hitte was brutaal, maar racen met zo’n atmosfeer is heerlijk! P21 in men AG.Later meer, eerst genieten! 🚀#ironman #ironmanfrankfurt #triatlon by @mathiassourbron

Snippets van een prachtig weekendje Slovakije, racing championship (WK) @challengesamorinPR met 6 minuten, 14e in men age group worden, 72e uit de hele hoop, op dit niveau. Ondanks brutale hitte tijdens de run. Zo gaat ie lekker richting Iron man Frankfurt 🚀4:13:59Swim 33:32Bike 2:12:25Run 1:21:36Met de beste support system @celine.neef & coach @marijnsourbron, @stijnduchi voor het oplapwerk (@osteoschilde) & de bikemechanic van @quintanarootri zonder naam die men bike heeft gefixt! 🤍 by @mathiassourbron

10 weeks till my first full Iron man (Frankfurt) 🚀 time flies when you’re having fun. Well I must say I never felt this close to myself, training can be hard but at least it makes me chase the best version of myself. No clue what will happen, but i know I ve to trust the process! So lets kick in this last block of training & enjoy every bit of it 🚀 by @mathiassourbron

🥈Général, 🥇AG gisteren op de LD duatlon @powerman Alsdorf!10km cruisen met maestro @julian_nicolaes, 60km 284W duwen op de fiets & 10km pitsen tot de finish, maar vooral genieten dat k kan meestrijden aan de kop van zo’n wedstrijd 🚀 eerste duatlon was een succes! Met als beste support team coach @marijnsourbron, @celine.neef & kleine man ❤️Run 1 10KM: 33:45Bike 60KM: 1:25:18Run 2 10KM: 34:27 by @mathiassourbron
