Another beauty from our Kantha kimono collection, this one pairs a beautiful hand-stitched silk overlay with a comfortable cotton base.

Kantha is a traditional embroidery practice from Bengal, where intricate depictions of nature come to life through the art of the signature running stitch, each motif slowly stitched by hand.

We love how @knzisa has styled this pair with breezy linen pants and those gorgeous statement earrings! ✨

This is a one-of-one piece, unisex, and designed to be a loose fit.

Fits sizes M–XL
Price: KES 16,000

Introducing our new Jamdani Play Sets ✨

Barrel pants paired with open tie-back crop tops, designed for movement, comfort, and play.

At the heart of these sets is the art of Jamdani: an exquisite weaving practice in which intricate geometric patterns are woven directly into the fabric as it takes shape on the loom. A process that demands extraordinary precision, patience, and attention to detail, with every motif slowly brought to life by hand.

Here we see a moody, mossy green on the beautiful Ash, and we love how she moves in it!

Featured here: One set only | Size S–M | KES 15,000
Available for pre-order: Set in a mustard yellow, custom-fit to you.

Keeping with our limited-edition kimono design, this piece pairs a beautiful Chanderi mul with a playful contrast of Boddu checks in cotton.

This one is special. Kantha comes from the home and lifelong artistic inspiration of Mati’s founder, @onushkaaaa. This piece was created in close collaboration with her mum and local artisans in Bengal. Rooted in the region’s rich textile heritage, Kantha carries generations of storytelling, symbolism, and craftsmanship, with its distinctive running stitches bringing together motifs inspired by nature and everyday life.

DM to order this one-of-one piece!

Fashion belongs on our bodies, not in our landfills.

The stunning @kingkangai wears our upcycled sheer mini dress, perfect for a party or turning the daily dog walk into a runway.

And Lola is wearing our Wildflowers block-printed bow-tie collar. Don’t they look so damn cute together?

A huge shoutout to @mokaya__ for transforming this vintage find into such a gorgeous piece. by @mati_studioke

On the gorgeous @into_the_melee is our Wildflowers set: a loose-fit shirt and wrap-around mini skirt, made from fabric created through the meticulous art of mud-resist printing.

The designs are drawn directly onto the fabric with mud, dried, sanded, and dip-dyed using natural vegetable dyes. Once the mud is removed, the resisted areas reveal the pattern beneath, leaving behind the subtle variations of handwork that make each piece unique. by @mati_studioke

Creatures at leisure 🐾

Meet Damaris and Lola, caught mid-play in our bespoke Madras checks mini. We’re suckers for Madras checks— that vibrant, whimsical design is entirely handwoven on the loom, thread by thread, and not printed as most checks are. Here, we’ve given it a playful spin: a breezy mini with a fun neckline, built for comfort and made for movement.

We build slowly so our entire clothing line is bespoke and each garment is built as one piece only.

DM us with an idea of what you’d like to create for yourself and we’ll build it for you 😊 by @mati_studioke
