Commissioned by @rosewoodhotels and #monocle for “The World of Rosewood” — a book celebrating the group’s locations worldwide.

I moved between the rooftop’s expansive city views and the quieter interiors where architecture and nature meet. Rather than surface spectacle, I was drawn to atmosphere, light, and the materials that define the space.

Created for a book rather than a campaign, the images were composed to endure. Many thanks to @sara.taglioretti and @rosewoodhotels @rosewoodsaopaulo for the trust 🪷

Love the intricate patterns and vibrant colors seen in attires of Rancho Folclórico (traditional folk dance) de Miranda do Douro

Trivia bit: Miranda do Douro is one of the few places in Portugal where Mirandês is still spoken — a language older than Portuguese itself 📚

Last year @oapartamento.ca invited me to photograph this quietly wonderful place in Porto: Casa Cedo is a boutique B&B in the heart of the city, designed by @quietstudios and @atelierinvitro

This is the kind of space where the books on the table are actually worth reading, where everything smells divine thanks to @officialbyredo 👀

Sometimes Poppy, the kindest dog, will be around and probably will claim the best spot on the rug. James and Armi will host you with real warmth, making you feel like you’ve been let into someone’s home rather than checked into some anonymous hotel. glad to have met you all and looking forward to many more drinks on that ochre couch 🥂 by @matildeviegas
