Frida Kahlo | From the “Negative” series

SOLD🔴

Original artwork
120×80 cm

Frida’s face is so deeply embedded in our visual memory that recognition can precede seeing. In “Negative,” I suspend that familiarity, opening a space between what the eye perceives and what memory supplies.

Blue lips 💙

Blue lips, a silent gaze, traces of words…
A face telling its story through colour and texture.

What catches your eye first?

| At the Threshold of a Story 🗝️

In a World Before Names, the observer emerges from the miniature, their identity unseen. They look into a world whose story has yet to be written.

Clay Processing for Layered Clay Art🪨🤲🏽

Before clay becomes form, it must be refined.
Filtering, mixing, and preparing the earth for layering—where material, time, and touch become part of the artwork. ✨

When Matter Remembers🤎

The figure does not begin with a drawing;
it emerges from the memory of matter.

Layer by layer, plaster and clay reveal a body somewhere between construction and erosion

When Earth Becomes an Image🏺🤎

Built layer by layer, this ancient-inspired technique transforms soil into surface, texture, and memory—where the material becomes part of the story. 🏺🤎

WHAT THE SURFACE REMEMBERS 🪨

Artworks🤎🪨🏺

What remains when the image begins to disappear?

Layered clay brings form out of the surface—then allows erosion, silence, and memory to draw it back again.

These selected works move between botanical forms, calligraphy, birds, animals, and figures—held together by shallow relief, softened edges, and restrained mineral colour.

The image recedes.
The surface remains. 🤎🪨
