I hate to say it as this trip was matiss’ idea but… it’s bloody brilliant!! It really was way beyond what I expected!

The food was incredible & the service was 10/10. It was a beautiful day which made it even better. The only downside is the toilets but I understand they’re going to be improving them soon. I have to be honest I didn’t really have high expectations as I’m more of a Kim Kardashian girl not Jeremy Clarkson 🤣 but it’s such a smooth operation & everything is really well thought out.

In terms of pricing, I’d say it’s fairly standard for a village gastropub. The mains were £22 on average and cocktails were £13. It was matiss’ birthday meal so we did splurge on the chateaubriand which was £120 but it was genuinely so worth it! Matiss said it’s the best steak he’s ever had (and he’s had a lot of steak 🤣). Everything tasted really fresh & it’s a great way to support local farmers.

There’s lots of parking available, plenty of space to sit outside & have a drink and of course lots of fun things in the shop! It’s dog friendly too! 🐶

If you want a table, they’re released at 9am on the 1st of every month for the following month.
