Lo que empezó como una idea se volvió proyecto… y después película 🎬.
Con @val.leonardo filmamos más de mil 1500 partidos y con @julietasabanes escribimos toneladas de textos. Pasamos por la incubadora de @incaa_argentina, @fidbafilmfest y @mafizmalaga, pitcheamos vestidos de Criollos y recibimos el cariño y la guía de Luciano Barisone, @annabellearamburu3, @martfilms, @emiliano.mazza, Anders y @valtiepelmann

@incaa_argentina y Mecenazgo @impuslocultural la declaró de interés 🙌 Recibimos apoyo del @bancoGalicia. Estuvimos cerca en Bertha y eso nos dio impulso para llevar el proyecto más lejos. @insumisafilms nos llevó a Málaga, Cannes, Barcelona e IDFA Fórum. Allí, entre bicicletas y canales, apareció @juan.gcastro de @latinquarter_film_coulture para subirse al barco. Con @laperraruge vimos horas de material, hicimos montañas de post-its con escenas, trailers y partidos de archivo. Cuando no bateábamos una, llegaron @lagomezgarcia y @agugodish para levantar la entrada, y @alberto.astorga.96 y @guadaluperobredo para cuidarnos las espaldas.

Muy pronto Criollos verá la luz.
Gracias a todos los que hicieron esto posible.

A few years ago, I met Julio and Carlos. They had created @criollosbeisbolvzla ⚾ The first baseball team in the metropolitan league made up entirely of Venezuelans 🇻🇪. In the middle of the migration wave, they organized 2 teams with more than 60 players and helped fellow countrymen who arrived in Buenos Aires with nothing more than the contact of “some guys who played baseball.” I came with curiosity, and they let me into the heart of the team. The first time, Carlos gave me the game sheet to fill out 📋 (I hope I didn’t mess up the numbers 😂). What started as an idea became a project… and later a film 🎬. We went through games, pandemics, pitchings, forums, trips, friends, and a huge family that kept growing at every stage. Today Criollos is about to see the light ✨. A story of community, of home, of migration, of family… and yes, also of a ghost 👻.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible.

En esta película se construye hogar día a día: hay comunidad, territorio, lazos, familias, padres, hijos y un equipo. Y, como toda película de béisbol, también tiene su fantasma. ⚾👻

@ingridbarvarich recreó uniformes del pasado con maestría y sensibilidad; @emibiain, @marcos_zoppi y @zubsonido interpretaron el alma sonora de la película; y @julio.sleiman en el @globorojoestudio compuso las notas que mejor transmiten el sentimiento criollo. Mención aparte al aguante y la paciencia de @lucila.kesselman, @juliangiulianelli y todo @cubicpost

Hace unos años conocí a @ingjuliob y @ccastro09 , que llevaban adelante @criollosbeisbolvzla ⚾.
Criollos es un equipo de béisbol amateur que compite en @lmbeisbol, como tantos otros. Pero tenía algo único: era el primer equipo conformado íntegramente por venezolanos en hacerlo 🇻🇪. En plena oleada migratoria, ellos se las ingeniaban para organizar dos equipos con más de 60 jugadores y, al mismo tiempo, recibir y acompañar a compatriotas que llegaban a Argentina con poco más que el contacto de “unos chamos que jugaban béisbol en Buenos Aires”.

Me acerqué y ellos me abrieron las puertas. En nuestro primer encuentro, Carlos me dio la planilla del partido y las estadísticas para completar (espero no haberme equivocado en los números 😂).

Nos atravesó una pandemia y jugamos béisbol con barbijo, pero se sumaron @dimfilms.oficial, @moondamian, @julir0th, @jeroreinhold y @nachosesm4 para producirla. En España se sumó @insumisa.films, de la mano de @srta.linn, que amó la peli desde el minuto cero. Entre bicicletas y canales 🚲, apareció @juan.gcastro de @latinquarter_film_culture para subirse al barco.

Muy pronto Criollos verá la luz. Gracias a todos los que hicieron esto posible.
