After 18 years of running, I’m grateful to say that hanging up the spikes. Starting this journey when I was at 4 years old, I never imagined where it would take me. Thank you Lord for giving me the resilience to keep going. A huge thank you to all my coaches for their guidance and support along the way. Man where did I even start. It’s been a very long journey. Thank you God for giving me the strength to persevere through all my challenges throughout my time here. My deepest appreciation goes to my incredible mom and family; their sacrifices paved the way for my success. And to the new friends and community I found in Carolina, you’ve enriched my life beyond measure. A special shoutout to my fraternity brothers, coaches, and teammates whose support helped me conquer the toughest obstacles. I can’t even begin to say how grateful and proud I am for this moment. God’s timing often feels like a long, desperate delay but his timing is always perfect. It grows our faith as we are forced to wait and trust in God and it makes certain that He, and He alone, gets the glory and praise for pulling us through. I’m Glad to be apart of AΦA🤙🏾
