4 years ago you left us Dad. It’s a heartbeat and also a lifetime ago. I don’t miss you any less and talk to you every day. There’s still a tiny glimmer of hope it’s all a bad dream and you’ll laugh and answer my call with “yes Matthew”.
The boys are well, busy adulting at jobs in Sydney, your love of cars lives on in them big time mate.
Nae is good, working hard at everything she does. Weirdly in this last year we found her Dad- he’s a lovely bloke and you’d have got on with him like a house on fire. He’s a motor bike guy and loves his family.
Mum is amazing as she’s always been, looking after all her friends and family as she’s always done- she misses you a lot Dad. I see it in the small moments, he fleeting thoughts of your life lived together evident in her smiles and tears.
I’ve started a few art projects I haven’t finished like one of your truck. Can’t bring myself to finish it in case it’s not perfect. Promise I’ll keep plugging away at it and finish soon. Haven’t been able to hold the camera much this year but again, hopefully that’ll change soon.
I love you, you are missed greatly.
