Happy 20th anniversary to parkrun, I owe so much to this Saturday morning routine. It helped me fall in love with running and volunteering. Since Isabella came into the world, it has become our special time to spend together, and I hope this carries on for years to come. Thank you to the original founders for bringing us parkrun.

London, you are amazing ❤️

Today wasn't about chasing PBs or BQs. Today was about enjoying the atmosphere and getting to the end. Injury really threatened the latter, but I did it and even shocked myself with a time of 3:43:43 (20 minutes slower than my previous attempt but this is now my new injured marathon PB!)

The crowds were incredible today, thank you, London. I'll be back ❤️ taken in The Mall, London by @matt_goes_running

Jetlagged but I couldn't miss the opportunity for a UK parkrun and getting the biggest cheer for the furthest travelling parkrunner (almost got pipped by someone from Australia 😡)

My little parkrun buddy didn't make the trip so I pushed the pace a little and did my fastest parkrun since my injury. Plus I got my F (no F parkruns in NZ 😑)

Boring trivia but Finsbury park parkrun is the only parkrun in the world where you can see two Premier League stadiums 🤔

Only back in the UK for a little bit so am cramming a lot into my work trip 🥵 by @matt_goes_running

Today marks Autism Awareness Day.

Not many people know, but Isabella was diagnosed with Autism earlier this year. We suspected that her development might be different to other children of her age when she started struggling to vocalise her thoughts & feelings.

In the last 3 years, we have been so proud of how she has coped in a world not set up for people with autism.

Whilst still not being able to verbalise her wants, needs and frustrations, she is a fantastic little problem solver and finds ways to either do things herself or communicate to us through hand gestures and sign language.

We are so lucky to have lots of supportive people around us whilst we navigate this rarely walked path with our little Isabee, from her Kindergarten teachers, to her doctors and speech therapist, we have a great team behind us to make sure we help Isabella to learn tools so that she can thrive in a world which isn't designed for her.

We are constantly in awe of how she handles each hurdle that is put in front of her, and we know that our girl has the determination, spirit, and drive to change the world for good.

We love you, Isabella. Momma and Daddy are so proud of you xxx by @matt_goes_running
