Sustainable seaweed harvesting along the shores of Lofoten wasn’t on my radar when I made the trek to Norway. Somehow, it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of my time there.

Watching these women work their way across slick rocks, timing each step with the relentless push and pull of the Norwegian Sea, was incredible. There’s something special about seeing food harvested by hand, in the elements, and knowing exactly where it comes from before it reaches your plate.

It gave me a whole new appreciation for the people, place, and process behind something we often take for granted.

And the bonus? I came home with some of the most delicious furikake, umami, and sugar kelp I’ve ever tasted. taken in Lofoten Seaweed Co AS by @matt_hildreth

I’m becoming more and more fascinated by the complexities of coffee. The science behind it all makes me appreciate every step taken even before that first sip. It’s not just a drink; it’s a ritual. And in a place like this, every sense is heightened and every moment is one to remember.

Confession: I think I could be a cowboy.
No, not a real one. But the kind that wears boots and a cowboy hat and occasionally hops on a horse for a trail ride.

This past weekend at Buckethead Ranch was a blast. One of the highlights for everyone was a rodeo with actual cowboys. And it took place in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Views. For. Days.

Airport layovers are usually boring and expensive. Thankfully this Capital One lounge is keeping me occupied and fed for a solid 8 hours. All it took was a @capitalone credit card in my wallet.
It’s impressive how a calm atmosphere and welcoming staff can make a long travel day much more bearable. Maybe even enjoyable.
