What a night 💛 Lazy Betty came to our home to throw Matt a surprise dinner party. I can’t express how special, magical, and fun the night was. Lazy Betty’s beverage director and sommeliers, Conrad and Gracie, set the mood with jokes and truffle washed vodka martinis 🍸 Chef Aaron Phillips and Jr. Sous Chefs Bryce and Christian created a mic-drop tasting menu of hiramasa, foie gras, 24-hour roasted onion soup, tortellini with lobster, and A5 Miyazaki ribeye 🤯 mind blowing taste and presentation, and each course was accompanied by an awesome wine pairing selected by Conrad and Gracie. For dessert, the talented Executive Pastry Chef Keely Moore created the most beautiful birthday cakes 🍰 we ended the night with Conrad’s famous negronis 🩷 it’s hard to put into words what it means to share such a magical experience with good friends in our home 🧡 we are so thankful to Lazy Betty and all of our friends who came 🩵 by @matt_kahn87

Client came to us with a puzzle: poorly executed custom window treatments, a gorgeous rug, and one super fun pillow. We pulled it all together, and the finished result is a showstopper. ✨

The BEFORE.

The Roman shades weren’t adding anything to the space. The drapery lacked the proper fullness, and the track was specified with the wrong brackets. Most importantly, the color story felt disconnected from the beautiful elements already in the room.

There was so much potential here.

We created two custom “His & Hers” Euro shams, combining two fabrics to pull together the colors in the rug and new drapery. An ombré fringe adds the finishing touch, tying everything back to the client’s gorgeous existing decorative pillow.

For the chaise lounge, we added a custom accent pillow to bring in a pop of crisp white from the bedding while pulling together all of the colors we carried throughout the room.

The showstopper: custom drapery fabricated in this stunning ombré watercolor organic linen, finished with a silk green leopard accent and satin brush fringe. Every detail was chosen to bring the entire room together. by @matt_kahn87

$An insurance company said a case capped out at $500,000. It settled for $6 million. Attorney Matt Kahn explains how. The policy contained a sublimit for assault and battery claims, which limited that type of payout to $500,000. A lot of cases would have stopped right there. Instead, our team dug deep into the policy language and built a claim that did not arise from the assault and battery itself. That claim fell outside the sublimit, and the outcome changed dramatically. The lesson: the fine print in an insurance policy can be the difference between a fraction of a case's value and its full value. The Thomas family’s story is one of love, resilience, and grace.

After a devastating injury changed their daughter’s life forever, they committed themselves to her care, her progress, and her future—every single day.

Yesterday, the road where the collision occurred was renamed in her honor. by @matt_kahn87
