Happy New Year! We started 2023 with an amazing trip. Kenny the goat 🐐 caught this stud African Pompano and we also had a monster black and nice mutton all on the Bud n Mary’s party boat. Great way to end the vacation before heading back north to get the baseball season going . Grateful for the start of this New Year and everything to come ⚾️ 🎣 taken in Islamorada, Florida by @matt_mj25

Happy Birthday to our General Manager / Owner Matt Johnson!

We can’t appreciate you enough. It’s been great watching your success develop right in front of our eyes. You’re truly one of the hardest working people I know, and the time, effort, and energy you continue to pour into Bay Area Baseball doesn’t go unnoticed.

You’ve been a huge part of what we’re building and where this program is headed.

Happy Birthday, Matt! We appreciate everything you do for Bay Area Baseball. Enjoy your day! taken in The Spot Athletic Center by @matt_mj25

🌴 HITTING DEVELOPMENT | GUNNER WILHELM 🌴

Great hitting session working with Gunner Wilhelm! Gunner has been focused on creating more connected swings and learning how to better utilize ground force to produce a stronger, more explosive swing.

Here are a few of the drill sets we used to help him feel those adjustments:

⚾️ Trail Arm Slot Band — Working on staying connected longer and having the band come disconnected through contact, not before contact.

⚾️ 1/2 BOSU Ball Drill — Working on driving the backside down and through, while over-exaggerating the rotation and learning to rotate aggressively into a strong front side.

⚾️ Contact Point Drill — Working on staying connected while creating strong, repeatable swings on pitches in different locations throughout the strike zone.

Great work from Gunner continuing to make adjustments and develop his swing! 💪

Gunner competes with Bay Area 13U and is looking forward to a big season this fall! 🌴⚾️ taken in The Spot Athletic Center by @matt_mj25

10 years. 7-17-16🤍

A whole decade of growing together, laughing together, learning together, and choosing each other through every season of life. We’ve changed so much over the years, but one thing has never changed….you’ve always been my home.

Here’s to everything we’ve built and everything that’s still to come. I can’t wait to marry you. 🫶🏼❤️ Forever starts soon. 🥂✨ by @matt_mj25

Still reminiscing an unforgettable championship week with this 12U squad. Grateful to coach such a hardworking, talented group of young athletes—this is only the beginning of their journey.

Love being a part of these guys’ development. Another great weekend—highlighted by a playoff walk-off birthday single from Enzo Selva!

Let’s keep putting in the work as we gear up for summer ball and head into high school ready to compete for a spot. taken in Babe Ruth baseball field Sarasota Fl. by @matt_mj25
