Eyes, with pride💛

DMA 2026 was an unreal experience.

I am so grateful to have gotten to experience such a wondrous event with some of the best people I know, and to have met so many more.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you, to those from Middletown who I had every bit of fun with; to our band directors, who opened the doorway to the DMA fraternity; to Squad 26, the dream team; and to everyone else at DMA, drum major, bando, and staff alike. This clinic is genuinely life-changing. It is a world-class experience with a wealth of knowledge and information about leadership, band, and life in general.

“The band is your mirror.”

If I had to choose a highlight of any summer, it’d be this.

For one week, June 22-28, I embarked on a spectacular adventure as part of the National Railway Historical Society’s Railcamp 2025. The people I met, places I visited, and experiences I gained were amazing, and I’m so happy I was able to take part.

My biggest thanks to the staff of Railcamp, the people at Amtrak, the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, the Strasburg Railroad, and so many more for making this week an unforgettable one.

Here’s to another fantastic year of Railcamp at Northwest. (hopefully) by @mattboobs
