I am immensely proud to say that today I signed the role of legal practitioners and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia. This is without a doubt one of the greatest achievements of my life, and I am very excited for what the future holds as I navigate my career as a graduate lawyer.

I owe so much to my family, friends, work colleagues and teachers and mentors who grounded me, supported me throughout my degree, taught and guided me through my learning, put up with me when I was stressed and made sure that I still had still had fun along the way.

I'd especially like to thank my beautiful and wonderful partner Ashlee (@smashlee_meow ) who has loved me, laughed with me, cried with me and supported me and enriched my life so much throughout this journey. You are my rock and I love you.

Thank you to my Mum, Jane Gunn, who taught me the value of working hard and persevering no matter what. You are the strongest person I know and I am proud to call you my Mother.

Thank you to my Grandfather, John Gunn, who always has a wonderful story or hilarious joke on his lips, and has through both words and actions supported me through every stage of my life. I wish that my extraordinary Grandmother, my number one fan and my first best friend, Robyn Gunn, were here with us, but I know that she was there with all of us today. Wherever she might be I know that right now she wouldn't be able to wipe the smile off of her face.

And lastly thank you to my learned friend James Dalts @jimmydolphins81 who took the time out of his day to move my admission in the Supreme Court. You are an outstanding human and friend.

This achievement is the culmination of many years of dedication and hard work and I could not have done it without my support network. Today I feel proud of my work, but also so fortunate to have such wonderful people around me and supporting me in so many different ways. Thank you. by @mattbrighteyed

I finally made it. After beginning my first degree in 2013, it was starting to feel like I might never finish. However over 10 years later, and after deciding to change my course and start a law degree in 2020, I finally got to throw my mortarboard in the air yesterday, alongside my mentors and peers from @flindersuniversity

I could not have done this without the support of my family, and friends and wonderful partner @smashlee_meow. These studies necessarily pushed me to my limits and I'm so fortunate and thankful that I had Ashlee by my side to encourage me, remind me to eat and drink, love me and just generally make my life better. Thank you.

Please enjoy a couple of photos of me in full academic dress. There was a lot of work hours put in to earn that cape so I'm flaunting it.

Time to get a job I suppose 🤷‍♂️😅 by @mattbrighteyed

I am absolutely honoured to be playing at Adelaide's celebration of Drum & Bass, Our Sound: Pendulum (DJ Set) & Luude, supporting two of Australia's biggest names in DnB and some of the best local producers, DJ's and MC's Adelaide has to offer.

Being a part of this line up is really special for me. In 2010 I was fresh out of high school when one of my best friends showed me Pendulum's BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. I probably listened to it 100+ times that year, and it completely changed the trajectory of my music taste and got me interested in DJing which I started doing in my bedroom in 2014.

Now in my 10th year of DJing, I am privileged to support Adelaide DnB through my work on the ADLDNB_Vibe Guide and playing music on The Ones and Twos on Fresh927. Getting the chance to support Pendulum at an event celebrating Drum & Bass in Adelaide feels like coming full circle, and feels really special.

I'll be playing the locals stage with MC EssBee on hosting duties. Tickets link in my bio and in the comments. See you on the dancefloor. by @mattbrighteyed
