Been trying a new type of journaling, got a haircut, and went to Osaka during Silver Week. I unfortunately got sick and missed out of the fun in Kyoto but I will be back TRUST!! I at least had fun at the D. Gray Man cafe and spent waaaay too much (absolutely worth it tho!!) by @mattdskoonce

Had one of the best weeks of my life with one of my bestest friends ever!! I love my friends and they love me and I’m so glad that ~13 years (and counting) have culminated in this! I got to see so many new sights and while I’m sad to have to go back to work tomorrow, it’s pushing me to work hard to spoil my friends in the future!! It’s been too hot to exist but I’ve replayed my fave game series and cried like a baby!! I did so many artfight attacks (15!!) and I’m so proud of them!! I also finally watched Dungeon Meshi and Marcille is literally me!! I can’t wait til the weather is cooler!! by @mattdskoonce

🌈 ✨ PRIDE MONTH RAAAAAH ✨ 🌈
This month was suuuuuuper chill (thank god)!! Got to play lots of games and prepare for ArtFight (Team Comedy wya) Had lotsa yummy food this month too!! Super excited for what’s to come this summer!! I also rewatched Yuri on Ice and I am forever mad at MAPPA </3 by @mattdskoonce

May was super chill!! Super happy to see my mom and brother. I definitely wanna come back to Tokyo with them! I’m climbing my way up and ignoring The Voices. Been getting back into art and creation as a whole! I’m discovering who I am again thanks to my lovely partner hehe.

Had a super fun Golden Week in Tokyo with my mom and brother! Senso-ji was super packed but I got some cute souvenirs (and spent a pretty penny at Animate 😭😭😭) This’ll be my last trip for a while cause it’s starting to get too hot to exist. Some highlights were:
-Eating one of the best hamburg steaks in my whole life
-Annoying my mom during karaoke
-Getting to properly relax!!
-Animate!!
Although the first night I got so fed up with my family’s snoring that I slept in the bathtub and it wasn’t the worst place I slept tbh. I can’t wait to explore more cities in the fall/winter!! taken in Sumida, Tokyo by @mattdskoonce

April was a month of many changes! New teachers, new sights, and new foods! They actually cut the sakura trees that were right next to my house (not pictured). We had an exchange with Australian students from our sister city, and I went up to Nachi Falls with them! The weather was lovely and the view was absolutely stunning! And the month is ended with the birthday of my lovely partner (welcome to unc status :3)! May is starting off with a trip to Tokyo (which will probs be at least 2 posts worth of photos lol) taken in Wakayama Prefecture by @mattdskoonce

This month has certainly been interesting and filled with many changes! Graduations, staff changes; the weather getting warmer. I’m not ready for the summer heat 😭😭. This month was pretty chill, and I had fun on a little trip to Osaka at the end of the month. There’s definitely things that I still wanna see…maybe I’ll go back in the fall hehe. February’s been pretty chill; I’m slowly falling in love with art again and I’m definitely trying to be kinder to myself. I finally managed to find tortillas at an AEON and I actually started crying (guys I miss Mexican food SO much). Also managed to score a new laptop and a Switch 2!! Been hard at work preparing for the end of the school year!! Getting through life one day at a time but I am SO happy to be where I’m at right now. Belated January photo dump cause life’s been super interesting!! Spent the new year with one of my best friends; one of my most favourite people in the whole wide world!! Reorganized my house and made room for all my new goodies (all the D. Gray Man stuff is still in a box tho rip). Been back in Genshin hell, and playing lots of other games (Project Diva my beloved). I got to see snow for the very first time and I was super happy!! Did a bit of exploring and found some new places that I enjoy! 2025 has truly been one hell of a year. A lot of therapy. A lot of reflecting. A lot of change. I finally got to live my dream of living in Japan; I’ve been pretty self-sufficient and being on my own has been really nice! I left a job that I loved and somehow got a job that I love even more. My health has only been improving, both mentally and physically. I’ve had to say so many goodbyes this year, for various reasons, but I’ve said so many hellos as well. In August, I finally got to meet the best friend I’ve had since I was 12-13, and it was absolutely wonderful!! I’m super glad to have made so many friends here!! I’ve checked off quite a few things like taking my first solo trip, going to Osaka and Kyoto, seeing some of my favourite animals in person! I’m very excited for all the changes that 2026 will bring! taken in Japan by @mattdskoonce
