Zia Caterina,
You were one of six, but to my mother you were everything.
When life forced two little girls into a monastery in Sicily,
you were only 4 years older — yet you became her mother, her protector, her safe place.

Through every hardship you stayed positive, warm, and giving.
You worked hard, loved harder, and never turned anyone away.
You were the peace in our family. The smile in every room.

I have nothing but beautiful memories with you.
Thank you for showing us what grace and generosity look like.

We love you and we miss you.
Riposa in pace Zia 🙏

-Zia Caterina,

In ogni difficoltà sei rimasta positiva, calda e generosa.

Ti vogliamo bene e ci manchi.
Riposa in pace Zia 🙏 by @matteoi1024
