He couldn’t land an air reverse, then this happened!!

How is this? Here’s Matteo Wander who is sixteen, two years into Wave Ki, and finally landing the air reverse that used to eat every attempt. It’s Not luck. Its Drilling. He credits the blow tail work in his training for the moment it clicked.

Drilling’s never easy, not for kids, not for adults, but every student who sticks with it sees it pay off. The ideal state out there is non-thinking, non-memory: fully in the moment, spontaneous, natural flow.

The resolve is simple, I love surfing so much that I put in the work, so when I paddle out, I’ve done enough, and I can enjoy my time in the water. Free from judgment. Free from rigidity. Free to fly like @matteowander and countless members enjoying the results of their Wave Ki Practice.

6 1/2 weeks on the Northshore. My love and prayers go out to Northshore, especially the Waialua community where a lot of people lost everything from the flood 🙏❤️
