Hey everyone, I’m really excited to announce my new campaign to release a vinyl version of my upcoming album, “Chopin Transcendental Jazz Etudes” on the Nettwerk Music Group label, now available for preorder! The goal is to get enough preorders to make it possible to print enough copies for everyone. The recording features my new cross-genre arrangements of Chopin’s iconic masterpieces of the piano repertoire, infusing contemporary jazz language and technique into the original pieces. Ranging from Boogie-Woogie to Cuban montuno to Ragtime to high-octane contemporary jazz virtuosity to introspective, soul-searching journeys of “simple” complexity and human exploration, these re-imaginings propose a new vision of Chopin’s timeless masterpieces, which, as such, can be reborn in new contexts and new musical genres, all while undeniably remaining pure Chopin in spirit. For those interested intrepid pianists, I also offer the full scores of my arrangements. Here’s the link to preorder the album:

I’d like to share an unforgettable moment with the late great Oliver Jones, a true one-of-a kind man and musician who loved life and never stopped smiling. There will never be another one quite like him, and we’re all grateful for what he shared and gave us while he was here. This is one of my favourite songs by anyone, and I’ll never forget how nervous I was performing it in front of him, and how warm and enthusiastic he was afterward. Thank you Oliver for being there. by @matthersk

The "Made in America" Gala on Wednesday was truly a special evening — not only because of the extraordinary artists on stage, but because it marked an important milestone for Magellan Arts. It was a night filled with music, dance, generosity, friendship, and a shared belief in what we are building together. Thank you all for coming out to support us!
