It was with a heavy heart that yesterday I received the sad news that my drum tutor, Colin Woolway, had passed away after battling illness for some time.
Colin had battled for too long &, in recent months, had struggled gallantly in a pursuit to improve his health. Yesterday that struggle ended.
As a young drummer Colin supported me tirelessly with a steely determination to improve my technique & fluidity. His patience, rhythm & unique style has always been an inspiration to me, & has profoundly shaped my own style of playing. I will forever be indebted to, Colin, for all his support & kindness. I
will miss him dearly. RIP, my Friend 🙏❤️

Another sad loss in the drumming world today. Clem Burke, long standing drummer of, Blondie, passed away today. He was a real inspiration to me as a young kid learning to play. His power & delivery was second to none.
Sadly, I never I got meet Clem, but I did get to see him play with Blondie at The Roundhouse a few years back, & he was good !!!
This picture means an awful lot to me as Clem’s thumb looks as though he’s giving me the heads up on the @remopercussion head that I, along with many other fab drummers, signed for charity.
A great honour be on the head too 🙏
Clem’s here with another fine drummer, Brett Buddy Ascot, of The Chords @dwdrums @blondieofficial @_premierdrums_

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m posting this. Yesterday, Rick ( Paul ) Buckler, The Jam’s Drummer, passed away ~ I got to know Paul when we played a charity gig at, The 02 London Arena, together a few years back ~ He was a top drummer, great company, but above all, a really nice guy to be around. Gone too soon…RIP, Mate 🙏❤️ @paulwellerhq @liamgallagher @rickbuckler2022 @whiteydrums
