Okay… weird design choice.

Then you finally get to the toilet and somehow it gets even stranger with little saloon doors instead of an actual door. 😂

I know every house has a few quirks, but this one had me scratching my head. Would this bother you if it was your house, or would you just live with it?

I’ve walked through thousands of homes over the years, and every once in a while I find something that makes me stop in my tracks.

This house has ONE bathroom.

And somehow they decided it needed TWO toilets... while making the shower almost impossible to use. 😂

I honestly can’t figure out what problem they were trying to solve here.

What do you think happened?

I’ve seen some wild ways to fill in old pools and spas over the years, but this one takes the crown. Walked into a showing this weekend and the backyard spa wasn’t just filled in, it had a full 20 foot tree growing out of it. That’s commitment. Real estate will keep you humble because just when you think you’ve seen it all, DFW finds a new way to surprise you

I made a video recently about some friends who don’t want to give up their 2.8% mortgage and the number of people who said they’re in the exact same situation was pretty incredible.

It’s one of the reasons some homeowners aren’t putting their houses on the market, even when they’d otherwise like to move.

And here’s what I’m wondering. If rates dropped to 5%, would that actually change anything for you?

Or are you keeping that 2.5% mortgage no matter what?

Here’s a housing statistic that might surprise you.

Despite everything we’re hearing about how impossible it’s become to buy a house, 65% of American households are homeowners.

But I think that number tells a much more complicated story.

Someone who bought their home 10 or 15 years ago is living in a completely different financial reality than someone trying to buy their first home today.

Lower purchase prices, lower mortgage rates and years of building equity have created a pretty significant divide between existing homeowners and people trying to enter the market.

Which brings me to a question I’ve been wanting to ask.

If you’re already a homeowner, could you afford to buy your own house today at its current value?

You found the kitchen you wanted. But now your commute is miserable and having friends over means explaining where they can park. The house matters, but so does everything you’ll deal with outside of it.

What’s something about a location that would make you pass on an otherwise perfect house?

Plano’s 90 Flock license plate cameras are currently turned off.

Police say the system has helped track vehicles connected to crimes, but getting it back online could mean Plano paying roughly $300,000 a year.

And this is where the conversation gets interesting.

Would you rather have the added crime-fighting tool or less surveillance?

I’m curious where Plano residents land on this one.

Flying out of North Texas is about to look a little different!

McKinney National Airport is scheduled to begin commercial passenger flights November 11, and Avelo Airlines has already announced nine nonstop destinations. Five launch in November with four more coming in December.

For people living in Plano, Allen, McKinney and the surrounding communities, this could make traveling a whole lot more convenient.

But I also wonder what this means for the area long term. More businesses, jobs and development sound great, but what about the additional traffic, airplane noise and continued growth?

I’m curious what everyone in Collin County thinks. Are you excited to have an airport closer to home or would you rather see the area slow down a little?

Don't take out solar panel loans or leases! A recent deal required $17k at closing, forcing a teacher to cash out her pension. Door-to-door salesmen often lie. #solarpanels #realestatemyths #homeownership #financialliteracy #consumeradvice #savethemoney #reelsadvice by @mattkelderman

I thought I’d seen all the cabinets. Then I turned around 😂 I like storage but I’d need a map to find my coffee mugs.

Would you love this or would it drive you nuts?

“That was already there when I moved in” is a much stronger argument when you have the photos.

I’m helping a client document his rental before he settles in. Scratched floors, wall damage, broken windows. Get it on the condition form, photograph it and send it over. Keep your copies for move-out.

Have you ever had to argue over a security deposit?
