Ring camera notified you of motion detected. My first solo backpacking trip 24 miles/3800ish ft elevation rocked my body. The Wind River Range in Wyoming is nothing short of magic✨🌼🦅 by @mattlaxer1
I would say good times and tan lines but I look like a lobster.. Fun in the sun and not a worry in the world, crazy what a lil UV exposure can do for you🦞 by @mattlaxer1
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man. The river teaches me something new each year. This was the best one yet, thanks for coming along everyone! by @mattlaxer1
To the woman who has never let me down, I hope the last rotation of the sun was as good to you as it was to me. Happy Earth Day🌎 by @mattlaxer1
Making my way down south, driving fast cars I pass and I’m homebound… St. George round 2 was one for the books, fun in the sun, new hikes, and a desire to plan the next trip! Where to next?🤪 by @mattlaxer1
Smiles and miles, views and brews, but sadly no sandwiches at the subway. Non the less a perfect weekend to kick off this season! Watering my favorite tree and mental heath at the same time😎☀️ by @mattlaxer1
Rolled the dice and ended up in Vegas. Found myself in the fast lane as I drove sections of then F1 track currently being built. I didn’t do much with the neon lights or gambling I prefer rainbows, hot springs, and sunsets🧊🐧🍄 by @mattlaxer1
Year after year Oregon always calls me back. This time around I was able to enjoy it with some friends. We swam in Crater Lake (deepest lake in the US), saw Multnomah Falls (tallest waterfall in Oregon), explored a 2 mile long lava tube, and enjoyed Punchbowl Falls as our personal swimming hole. I’m very thankful for everything everyone did to make trip possible❤️ by @mattlaxer1
Spent my time off this week near the water and couldn’t be happier :) I made great time on the hike and got to break in my new trail runners. I always tend to forget something when camping, this time happened to be the ladder for my rooftop tent. Perks of being tall I guess. When everything works out I worry less and remember more of the good and for that I am thankful. 🐝🥾✨ by @mattlaxer1
After recently losing some weight I decided to challenge myself to summit timp as quickly as possible. My goal was 5 hours moving to summit and return. I had my doubts as I sat down at the summit and paused my Strava for lunch. After some electrolytes, snacks, and water I was ready to make up for all the lost time on my way down. I’ve never ran somewhere quite so beautiful and truly see the appeal to trail run. Losing track of the rush for time and truly just soaking it all in🐐🪻🌄 by @mattlaxer1
Always wear your helmet… Other than my first set of stitches the 4th was a riot🎆 by @mattlaxer1
I often find myself lost in the hustle and bustle of life. Relationships, finances, you name it. For my 29th birthday I wanted to appease my inner child, remind myself of the core memories that make me who I am. Climbing on rocks, dunking myself in a desert slot canyon waterfall, and hiking barefoot. These types of trips remind me the only person I’m trying to impress is the young version of myself. To the future me love hard, never regret, and practice what you preach. by @mattlaxer1
