It is my birthday. It’s only right that I let y’all know what’s coming. First off, I’m thankful to be blessed with another year, even though it’s been a tough day, a lot of people didn’t make it to today to even have a tough day. I thank God I did. Secondly, thank you to everyone who’s been dming me or calling or posting wishing me a happy birthday, I sincerely love all of y’all.

THIRD….I’m excited to announce I’ll be performing for the first time since my first song dropped, next month, August the 14th, in Deep Ellum , with some very talented people 🐐🐐🙏🏾. I just wanted y’all to know that I’ve accepted a position with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas as the Childcare Program Director for OUR Waxahachie YMCA 🥹💚.

I want to give thanks to God, both of my parents, my uncle Tony, and every person at the Y who has played a part in my personal growth and professional development.

When I first started this job, I just needed a part time position to help me through school, and to have a second source of income to support myself and my family. I had no idea all of this was in store for me.
Ever since I was a kid, all I’ve ever wanted to do with my life, is help people, and impact change in the communities I care about. This position provides me with an opportunity to do just that. Waxahachie helped raise me into to the man I am today, and now, I get to return that gift. To me, success isn’t measured by what you achieve, but by how you impact those around you. I am successful when the people around me are successful. God has blessed me to be a blessing and I can’t wait for you all to see the work that we’re going to do in this community.

For the past 8 months I’ve been living completely on my own for the first time in my life. It’s been a change and I’d be lying if I said I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s been extremely tough and mentally draining, especially with the deaths of some good friends, along with my uncle, who I looked up to as a second father. That being said, I wouldn’t trade the scars I’ve developed over the years for anything. They’ve helped my growth just as much as anything, and without them, I wouldn’t be who I know I’m supposed to be. No matter what my situation has been, God has always provided for me, and put me in a position to succeed.

I love you all, and Merry Christmas. 🎁

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: The multiverse is opening…Sooo my first song came out about 11 months ago and well, I’ve been working to try to consistently put out music ever since. Idk where you are on your journey, but just because other people seem to be “ahead” of you or more successful, doesn’t mean that Gods plan isn’t still working over your life. I’m telling you this to let y’all know that my new song “Gimme A Minute” is now available for preorder! (LINK IN BIO). This song is meaningful to me because it outlines something I’ve always struggled with my whole life. Time. Oh, and I brought a couple friends this time around 👀. Soooo my first song comes out this week. 🙃
I think the hardest part about this whole process was choosing the cover art 😂😩. Here are some of the options we came up with. My personal favorite is the second one because my kids drew it for me, but you guys tell me which option you like the best.

STORY: I wrote this song when I wanted to quit music. I wrote this song when a lot of people thought I was joking about writing music. I wrote this song when I was struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I wrote this song when I had questions about my faith. I wrote this song while laying on @odysseyheat sofa because I need to remind myself. I wrote this song as an answer to every question I had in my head. I’m Serious. 11-21.

-Update: I’ve put in an order for new shirts so everyone who commented something they were serious about on my announcement teaser will soon have their own “Not a Rapper” shirt.
I wrote a new song this week that will come out some time after my first drop. I made a 96 on my English paper after initially making a 79 and then a 90 on my previous 2 papers. If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that growth takes time and that slow and steady wins the race. Keep moving forward no matter how long it takes you or what opposition you may face. When I first started this journey I thought it would be easier than it has been, but anything worth having, is worth waiting for. Sorry if what I’m saying is random but this is just what’s on my mind. I hope y’all have had a great weekend, unless you’re a Cowboys fan, then I know it’s been terrible 🥴😩.

Imagine if Jesus picked his disciples, based on whether or not they “looked” like disciple material. The most important conversations you will ever have, are with those who do not look, think, or act the same as you. It is impossible to reach the unreached, if we only stick our hands out to those who’s hands look like ours.
