Carole King @caroleking is an icon. But even more than that she’s a generous and joyful presence to anyone lucky enough to work with her or even to be in the room. I got to be one of the lucky ones recently, and won’t soon forget it. 💜💜 by @mattpodd

Joy pours out of us in so many different forms, and it multiplies when we share it. The joy from this service and this song takes the form of handclaps, high notes, criminally funky bass lines, and silly faces shared amongst bandmates. #easter #gospel taken in The First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn by @mattpodd

This band has had a few different musical homes in NYC since we started about 12 years ago. For us there’s been no place like @arthurstavern_nyc It doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the people. The people that work there, the people that show up, and the people we are so lucky to call bandmates, and beyond that dear friends. @petertraunmueller and @dannylipsitzmusic are family. I’d say last night was one for the books, but honestly, they all are. It feels like going home every time we walk in the door. 📸 by the ever supportive @stayoffmybeat by @mattpodd

A week into Autumn and it’s time to celebrate the change in seasons with a cozy FRIDAY NIGHT show at @arthurstavern_nyc. It has been a little bit and we’re looking forward to seeing our folks in the crowd. #mimijazz #arthurstavern #jazz taken in Arthur's Tavern by @mattpodd

Choir member Yasmine Emani and Assistant Music Director Matt Podd wrote Gather Round the Body as a call to action, asking, "Can we say we stand for freedom if we will not pay the price?" The song serves as a reminder that each person is a vital piece of our collective body. You can watch the full performance on our YouTube channel! by @mattpodd
