Father’s Day always sneaks up on me differently now that I’m on the other side of it.

Running Endless Creative was never just about the work. It was about being able to build something around my kids instead of around someone else’s schedule. Some days that looks like editing at 4am before anyone’s awake (even then it’s usually only an hour, as they’re often early risers). Other days it’s putting in extra work after they’ve gone to bed.

It doesn’t quite feel balanced yet. Some weeks the business wins, and it takes more from me than I would like. But that’s how life is at this moment in time.

I remember when my son took his first steps and my wife yelled out to me from the living room. I’m so grateful I got to be there. I know a lot of dads don’t get that. Through the stressful stretches I sometimes question if this is the right call, but then I think about how many of these moments I would have missed otherwise.

Trust in the process.

Editing is the overlooked part of this career, the lonely part. Hours in a chair, often alone, listening to the same voices, sounds, music, over and over.

I’ve been doing this for a while now. And still, every time I open a new project, there’s a flicker of nerves, but also excitement - not knowing exactly how it’ll come together. Will it turn out how I envisioned it?

But that’s the job. You sit with the uncertainty until it clicks. This part of the process never changes, so you just have to trust it. by @mattrebgetz

This is for me to read later.

Pick up that camera and go!

That’s it. There’s no secret.

No perfect plan. No “waiting until I’m ready.” Just start.

I still feel the fear, every single time. That little voice saying “what if this one doesn’t land?”. Do it anyway!

Trust the process. Not the outcome. Because the process is the only part you actually control.

Some shoots don’t go as planned. Some edits don’t click at first. Some ideas that felt genius at 11pm but sounds ridiculous the next morning. Doesn’t matter. You learn more from it.

So whatever you’re sitting on, the idea, the concept, the “maybe I’ll do it next week”. Pick up that camera.

If you use After Effects, you need this.

If your animations look robotic and you don’t understand why. It’s not your keyframes, it’s your flow.

The Graph Editor is the difference between motion that feels alive and motion that feels like a PowerPoint presentation. Once you understand how velocity works in there, everything you animate gets better. Titles, time remapping footage, logos, transitions, basically all of it.

Stop skipping this panel. Save this for later 📌

How I film & edit my flashy intros 🎥

These are my must haves for achieving this intro:

→ Layer in whooshes + impacts + textural SFX under the music (don’t just rely on the track)
→ Speed ramps for a moment of detail
→ Flow with the direction of your footage (If the footage flows left to right, the next shot should do the same)
