Did some manpaintinghouse-ing and some @back.tracked -ing during the most fun weekend I’ve had in a long time last week. Thank you @consciousmadness_official 💍

Got @tomvarrall_ to join manpaintinghouse coz he makes everything better.

Met loads of incredible people doing incredible things, either DJing, putting together a festival - organising or building - or just busy being lovely humans.

We are super thrilled to announce, pianist and producer manpaintinghouse @mattshapiano He primarily works in collaboration, whether playing keyboard for artists like Robert Owens, Wayne Snow, and Mop Mop, leading his own electronic jazz quartet @back.tracked , or releasing lo-fi house with Frank Dascent.

On July 3rd, he performs solo for the first time, performing a hybrid set at @sol.asylum 15th anniversary party @club_der_visionaere 🚨

Running two synths into Ableton, he’ll loop ideas live on the fly, improvise over them, and trigger loops and samples, building the set in a dynamic, free-flowing way. 🎵🔥💫

He is one of the most inspiring musician we have had the pleasure to see and hear and we can’t wait to have him do his new project for this special date! 🗓️

See u all soon! 🚨🥳🌗

It’s time for the first Jazzmatazz of 2026! 🎉
We’re excited to have the amazing @back.tracked join us once again to kick off the new year.

backtracked are a playful fusion jazz quartet featuring Matt Shapiro (keys), Tom Varrall (guitar), Paul Breiting (Bass) and David Guy (Drums). The band has a relaxed sound, smooth, spacey keys glued together with a rocky guitar, punky bass and groovy drums.
