I spent most of 2025 worried and unable to sleep. So consider this me counting my blessings, right down to an unexpected and snowy afternoon with two people the year wouldn’t be complete without.

I could give 2025 some pretty awful titles. It’s worthy of all of them. But I must admit it’s also worthy of a kind one.

So here’s to 2025- the year of showing up. We got through it together and we’ll get through the next one, too. I sure hope 2026 is kinder to my people… and to me. Still, life has been abundantly generous in giving us to each other. 🥂 #to2025 #tovillages #toGus & #toRalph by @mattsilar

I had the honor of giving the very first toast at @theelleryvenue this summer. We CHEERSed to a beautiful couple with MMTD cocktails and marked not one beginning, but three. I love this couple. I love this building. I love filling glasses on special days and I’m thankful for a team of folks who understand the honor it is to be a part of these moments.

(We won’t give a speech at your wedding unless you ask us to, I promise.)

There was just no way you weren’t going to catch me at The Ellery this past month doing whatever @jontlapek and @erjorgen told me to do. These two and their families have poured more love into me than a lot of folks get in their lifetime. Getting to pour time and love into making this dream of theirs a reality was wildly special.

I’m so freaking proud of them and what they’re building. I’m thankful to have the best seats to watch it grow. I’m thankful for the ways they’ve encouraged me to try new things that allow me to be a part of it. I’m honored to do life with these people in the little moments and the big ones.

Roomie got married this past weekend and it was the best. I’ve loved sharing a space with Amanda these last four years. I’ve loved watching her and Emmett build their life together. It couldn’t have been cooler to celebrate this massive moment by standing by her side, sharing some words of love, and creating the cocktail menu of their dreams. (Sorry we skipped the negroni, Em.)

I’m learning that doing life in true community makes your people’s losses feel like your losses. Thankfully, the same goes for the wins. I couldn’t and wouldn’t do this season without these people.

It’s been a really hard start to the year but I’m thankful to have celebrated this weekend. You can’t schedule the losses, so I’m grateful to at least have more wins on this year’s calendar. by @mattsilar

Can confirm the real Jeff Award was the friends we made along the way.

Every career milestone of mine feels like it’s a little bit for Taylor, my former-teacher-turned-friend who didn’t get to build the life he wanted making the art we both loved.

I didn’t get to say his name on stage last night, but I did get to sit in the audience with my former-STUDENT-turned-friend who loves the work like Taylor did and like I do. I would not have been bold enough to ask God for such a full circle moment. But I’m wildly grateful for it.

I’m so proud of Darian and ALL of our dear friends who made She Loves Me special. I’m so thankful to have shared it with @mandamarcellaa who is genuinely the BEST plus one in the biz (and a big part of why our show worked) and with @bethnwolf who I will champion for as long as she chooses to create in this space. May the paparazzi photo be a manifestation of what’s to come. ;)
