POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sunday June 8, 2025 in downtown Los Angeles - This LOUD and PASSIONATE but PEACEFUL protest turned into a shocking and forceful assault on us. Thank you to @scar_cholostry for this important video from the front lines of the protestors that day. And thank you to everyone who continues to record and document these protests and rallies happening all over our country. Many of them go on without incident, but unfortunately that isn’t always the case as this authoritarian regime attempts to crack down on our free speech rights. You can’t deny what you see here with your own eyes. It seemed these officers were suddenly given a signal, and all at once they came at us on horseback and on foot. I was frozen in place for a a few seconds, not really grasping what was happening. It was a day my heart broke in a new way. If you live a life, your heart will be opened and broken and heal repeatedly. That seems to be what it’s about. But this break is one I’m honestly still reeling from because it’s unlike any I’ve been through before in my life. First, experiencing a moment of pride, and then suddenly having that slammed down my throat by the very ones that are supposed to protect us was a shock. And then the realization that so many of us have the bewildering ability to see something and say nothing. And not just strangers, but friends and neighbors - and even family. So it makes me want to ask - What is your silence doing for you? taken in Los Angeles City Hall by @mattsmattr

The wanna-be king is coming after our midterms. On October 17, we rise up by the millions to defend our elections, our democracy, our future. Join us in the streets, and then in the voting booth. Text No Kings to 59798 to find your closest protest. #NoKings by @mattsmattr

Enough is enough. Way past time for our reps to DO something about this ongoing madness and betrayal of our country. Cliff Cash @cliffcashcomedy and Flare @flare.usa have put together some daily tangible and worthwhile actions to rile up a seemingly complacent Congress. (Go to “October Surprise” for these daily actions.) Today is a letter to our rep. Our silence lets them continue the status quo, and that ain’t workin’. Go to flareusa.org to join the resistance. They’ve been on the ground in DC with a 24/7 presence since May of 2025 with the goal of the impeachment and removal of this mad man. If you are looking for another avenue to fight this regime, they have some steps you can take to help right now. by @mattsmattr
