Lots of music on the way. Thank you Tony & everyone at @sonicranch for creating one of the world’s coolest places to make music taken in Sonic Ranch by @matttmonaco

Visualization is a powerful thing! When I was 19, I wrote down a list of names I wanted to collaborate with someday, @poobear was on that list. ⁣
⁣
A few years later I ended up working at his studio, not as a collaborator, just as a runner/assistant, wanting to learn and be around music as much as possible. ⁣
⁣
Fast forward a few more years, and yesterday we made a song together and it came out better than I could’ve imagined. Write the list down. You never know which stage of the story you’re in, and you never know how things will happen. HBD!!!⁣ taken in Los Angeles, California by @matttmonaco

Writing Camp #1 at @sonicranch is officially in the books.⁣
⁣
Over the last few years I’ve been figuring out what music I actually want to be making and it kept coming back to songwriting, playing instruments, collaborating with real people in a real room. I’ve got a mountain of demos I made alone in my room over the years. I’m now going to travel to studios around the world and bring them to life with people who could push them further than I could on my own.⁣
⁣
Can’t thank @patrickryanheaney and @firasquick enough for helping me with everything. Couldn’t have done it without you, or had better people to do it with.
⁣
@madhippz thank you for capturing the whole weekend and surviving 16 hours in the studio with us, you’re an angel. ⁣
⁣
Sonic Ranch itself is unreal. The property, the people, the way they’ve built that space out there. It’s basically a museum of legendary instruments and art. ⁣Thank you Tony 🙏 by @matttmonaco

Wanted to leave something here to honor my dad. He unexpectedly passed away recently.⁣
⁣
He was an incredible father and always pushed me to follow my dreams and be myself. Words can’t really do justice to the kind of man and father he was. I could write endlessly about how grateful I am for him, how much he did for me and our family, and how lucky I was to have him as my dad.⁣
⁣
Thank you to everyone who’s shown up for me and my family during this time. The love, messages, and support have meant more than I can explain.⁣
⁣
Reflecting on my life with him, it was the small moments in between the big ones that I cherished the most. Don’t let those simple moments slip by. They’re the ones you end up appreciating the most.⁣
⁣
The final slide is the last video I have of my dad, and his words in it are some good ones to live by. by @matttmonaco
