Figured I'd highlight the most obscure fruit my garden's currently producing: ground cherries 🟡

These yellow gems are like tiny, sweet tomatillos, ripening inside of paper-thin husks and then falling to the ground when they're ready to eat. Texture of a grape with the sweetness of a berry, and a hint of tomato-like acidity... they're really unlike anything I've tried.

I planted a handful of bushes this spring (all started indoors from seeds), and I'm happy to report they're all producing well. Glad I decided to give them a shot!
