Shotsgiving 2025 – Still Breathing, Still Raising Hell.

18 years ago, Iraq tried to punch my ticket. Bullets. Shrapnel. Fire. The kind of day you don’t walk away from.

Except I did.

Not pretty. Not clean. Not without scars that talk louder than most people I meet. But I’m still here. And if you’re reading this, so are you.

Every year, I mark this day. Not with pity. Not with silence. But with noise, whiskey, and the kind of chaos that reminds me I’m not in the dirt yet.

You don’t survive something like that to live quiet. You survive to live loud. To take big bites. To dance on tables. To hug people like you’re trying to crack a rib and to toast the ones who didn’t make it back.

This is Shotsgiving where I raise a glass to pain, luck, grit, and the stubborn refusal to quit breathing.

Here’s to another year of cheating the Reaper.

Still standing. Still grinning. Still dangerous. 🏴 by @matty.macc
