Deciding to be a teacher was one of the best decisions I made. I was in my last year at Mizzou and I decided to fully change my career path with less than 7 months to go in a completely different field. The only reason I am able to hold this degree is because of various other people who pushed me to make this change and every moment I have spent doing this has been more rewarding and fulfilling than I thought possible for a job.

I never bought into the idea of pursuing something you love because you love it. I never thought jobs had the ability to be something you really loved. This field proved me wrong. I love what I do so much and I am ecstatic that I now get the opportunity to be other people's personal cheerleaders.

I am excited to announce that I will be a teacher next year! Yay!

If there is one thing I learned it's the value in taking the time you need to find something you love. Thank you to everyone who pushed me to be part of this amazing field.
