We have been in awe of the outpouring of love and support in remembrance of our Erin and yet not surprised one bit as she was truly the best of us. Still we are at a loss for words as we see all of the tributes and memories being shared in honor of Erin. Her impact was truly immeasurable and we are beyond grateful she connected us all so that we wouldn’t be doing this alone. Please see the link in my bio and stories with links for more information on ways to support the family.

We wanted to share with everyone the details of Erin’s Celebrations of Life taking place in Lake Worth on 3/2 and in Tallahassee on 3/16. Please see below for all the initial details and share with all of her loved ones and those she impacted. She would be so grateful that we are all gathering for her and, of course, jealous she won’t be there with us - at least in person.

a water sign takes themselves down to the beach for a sunrise & walk along the ocean for solo reflection & celebration on the last day of their golden birthday year and as they prep for another trip around the sun; find a local coffee shop to get a matcha latte; ride around the hometown with the windows open & the music blasting; come back to make some of their favorite breakfast items to share with their parents; and then have a small pre-birthday cake with mom & dad in their pjs before bed?! yupp, all that checks out! chapter 32 loading!

i’m feeling at peace after another trip around the sun. this time filled with love & reconnecting with self while celebrating the golden birthday all year long (you may see more recaps soon — you’ve been warned). i almost don’t want to let this year of 31 go quite yet, which is why being present in today felt so important to me. i’m so grateful to be in this space emotionally & mentally. so grateful for my community. and i’m proud of myself for the deposits i’ve put in & the decisions i’ve made to get here. this past year has been restorative, grounding, & generative in so many ways. and of course there have been challenges. through it all, i’ve been reminded that trusting yourself & being at peace with self are invaluable; that home is where my people are & where I feel most at peace; and I’ve been reminded how grateful i am to have many places and spaces to call home.

and as i start this next trip around the sun tomorrow, i’m holding on to the discipline of hope and calling forth an abundance of joy, love, clarity, peace, & alignment through all that the journey ahead may encompass. and here’s to continuing to practice better boundaries and self-trust to support myself through it all. love y’all #journeytoYOU #scorpioszn #watersign #halloweenbb #birthday #chapter32 💜✨🌊♏️ by @matty_d31

There is something so powerful about discernment and confirmation. Listen for them, practice them, let them guide you. Here’s to going slow, here’s to making space.

Over the next month I’ll be taking time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with myself, my values, and my goals. I’m also grateful to say I’ll be spending some time with loved ones, once I fully recover from Covid (feel free to check out my most recent story highlight for more details of my experience testing positive, getting conflicting test results, as well as with recently getting a 3rd full dose of the vaccine after self-certifying as immunocompromised). Please stay safe y’all and do all you can to hold ourselves and, more importantly, our institutions accountable to slowing the spread & keeping each other safe, especially those most at risk.

Here’s to all the joy, love, challenges, successes, and growth to come #journeytoYOU 💜✨🌱
