Where do you want to travel with us next year? by @matty_kinch

2026 filled up fast. So we’re not waiting for the new year, 2027 Community Adventures are officially launching early.

Three hosted trips. Three bucket-list adventures. One incredible community of driven, adventurous people, just like you.

Portuguese Camino - Walk the historic coastal Camino de Santiago through charming villages and centuries-old trails. (April 17-25)

Peru: Ausangate & Inca Trail - Trek high-altitude Andean landscapes to the legendary Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. (Sept 18-26)

Patagonia: The W Trek - Hike through Torres del Paine, granite peaks, glaciers, and turquoise lakes, one of the most iconic treks on the planet. (Oct 12-17)

If 2026 taught us anything, it’s that these spots don’t last. Dates and pricing are live now, head to adventuredesk.com to see it all and lock in your spot. Link in bio. by @matty_kinch

Back in May, a group of weary Pilgrims took on the final 100km of the Portuguese Coastal Way — and we’re still thinking about it 🥾✨

From the streets of Porto to the final steps into Plaza del Obradoiro in Santiago, this Community Adventure was everything we hoped it’d be: long trail days, real challenge, and a group of strangers who became friends by the time they hugged the Apostle.

Huge thanks to @troposfc and @proactivefitness_sk for helping this crew show up trail-ready, and to our incredible Adventuredesk alumni community for the energy and support that made this trip what it was 🙌

And here’s the best part — we’re doing it again in 2027.

If watching this trip sell out has you wishing you’d jumped in sooner, don’t miss your shot next time. Join our mailing list (link in bio) or reach out directly to be the first to know when 2027 dates and details drop 📩

Everyone trains for the climb. Almost no one trains for the descent.

On the Inca Trail, the uphill to Dead Woman’s Pass gets all the attention. The part that catches many hikers off guard is the long, steep stretch of stone steps on the way down, which goes on for hours. And then again on Day 3.

Downhill hiking loads your quads and knees in a different way, so build it into your training:
✅ Step-downs off a bench or stair
✅ Slow, controlled stair descents
✅ Lunges and eccentric squats
✅ Practice hikes with real downhill, using walking poles - and even better with some weight in your pack.

Train for the way down too, and you’ll arrive at Machu Picchu with plenty left in your legs.

Save this for your training plan, and send it to the friend you’re hiking with.

Where will we walk together in 2027?

Community Adventures are coming… by @matty_kinch

2027 is going to look different. Machu Picchu is still the finale — but how we get there? We’re switching things up. Think elevated basecamps under Andean peaks, a fresh take on the trail, and a few surprises we’re not ready to share yet.

When Matt asked me to join him in hosting this Community Adventure I was hesitant, but he told me I was up for the challenge 😰.

After walking the last 101 km of the Portuguese Camino from Vigo to Santiago de Compostela in Spain 🇵🇹🥾🇪🇸, I’m happy I got convinced as this has been the most rewarding travel experience so far in my life 🙌.

I’m beyond grateful to have participated and meeting so many wonderful people, and I blame Matt for getting me hooked on the #camino 🫵🎒💫.

Until next time. Buen Camino! 🌟➡️
