So proud of Zain and Riman, and we can all be inspired by their life journey. I’m blown away watching them on screen and I can’t wait for people to see their talent shine! ✨ They play Adam and Jana in The Sand Castle, sinking deep into the depths of a child’s mind as they try to make sense of the horrors that want to take their wonder and innocence away. @netflix @front_row_films taken in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia by @mattybrownfilms

Been quite a life journey so far. So grateful for everyone who’s lifted me up and pushed me to keep going even when I was at my lowest. Been wanting to make a movie since I was a little homeless kid, so I’m proud of myself for slowly climbing my way out of that reality and making that little boy’s dream come true. Making The Sand Castle was the most surreal and exciting experience of my life and it still feels like a fever dream. To all you many beautiful souls who ran away to our little island to make believe and live in a world away from harsh reality for a bit: magical. Those memories are embedded deep in me and I’m excited to share what we created together! Love you all, and Lebanon is always in my heart! ❤️🇱🇧 taken in Rabbit Island, Lebanon by @mattybrownfilms

What a wild journey. I am so proud of our amazing team in Lebanon! The creative power and imagination of all the crew left me in awe everyday, especially filming on a tiny sweltering island in the sea!

So grateful to our actors @nadinelabaki @ziadmbakri @zein_alrafeeh and Riman Al Rafeea for getting lost in these characters’ crumbling world and letting me explore with you!

@judogambler and @houstonbking you were my rocks throughout and I really couldn’t have done this without you keeping my head screwed on lol! You were there believing in it when it was just a little grain of sand ❤️❤️

@gianluca_chakra @mariojrhaddad @maiamalas @mayadahiraki @eliestouma @carinechaibanshahin @samuraiakl @nicolas.torloting want to give you all big hugs for everything you’ve done pushing and guiding and encouraging me the last two years. Means the world to me to have collaborated with you all on this story and share this awesome experience building this world!

@jeremysnell Damn man, thank for your gorgeous cinematography and ambition making this film come to life! I had such a kickass time teaming up with you! You made every frame stunning!

@lionelsoria @manalsou @royedagher @remyatallah we couldn’t have found a better art team, you built a full scale lighthouse! 😱 The art direction was a full playpen of magic. I’m so grateful for you all!

@amandakik not sure how you wrangled us all with these wild unpredictable locations and chaos throughout but you kept us afloat and right on course. I owe you many drinks! Haha!

Such a huge list of talented and passionate crew to thank over the next short time! Thank you again all of you!!! 🇱🇧

I just can’t even give words. My best friend, mentor, basically the father I never had growing up, has passed away. He was there with support every step of my journey and was the greatest positive life force. His optimism and sheer joy gave life to the people who were lucky enough to cross paths with him. He was the best of the best kind of person in this cruel world. Nothing will ever change that. Thank you for being you, Steven. A loss for the world. I still can’t believe it. Love you, man. by @mattybrownfilms
