Had a time!! by @mattydflicks

What a blessing it is to have something that makes it so hard to say goodbye ❤️.

It is so hard to sum up how much this program means to me in words. North Oconee Softball you have shaped me into the person I am today. You have taught me to love, lead, and encourage. I praise the Lord for giving me a platform to share His light and for the opportunity to play for something so much bigger than myself. His blessings have been made so evident over my last 4 years here. From every player, coach, and parent the Lord was so intentional with the people he placed in this program.

Thank you North Oconee for giving me my best friends. From all of our inside jokes, after practice dinners, loud bus rides, and every mundane thing in between I have created memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you for giving me coaches who believed in me even when I did not believe in myself (and thank you coaches for every “just one more” in the cages). This team felt so much more like a family and I am so grateful for all of the sisters North Oconee has brought me.

While I am so sad to be leaving the program that has become home, I wouldn’t trade these last 4 years for the world; given the opportunity, I would do it all over again. Time really does fly when you are having fun.

Keep the No Fly Zone on lock for me 🥹. Thank you North Oconee Softball and thank you LORD for “every good and perfect gift is from above” James 1:17.

With a heavy and grateful heart: #2 out ❤️ by @mattydflicks

STATE CHAMPS!!🏆❤️💙 by @mattydflicks

5 years, countless memories, lifelong friendships, and ONE unforgettable ending ❤️💙🥎

Thank you, softball, for giving me so much more than just a game. Over these past 5 years, you have taught me lessons, brought some of the most amazing people into my life, and given me memories that I will hold onto forever. I truly believe God placed this sport and these people in my life for a reason, and I couldn’t be more thankful.

To end my high school softball career as a STATE CHAMPION is something I could have only dreamed of! 🏆 Getting to make HISTORY as the FIRST Jefferson softball team to win a state championship alongside some of my best friends makes it even more special. There is no other group of girls I would have wanted to share this moment with!

From the early mornings and late nights to the bus rides, hotel rooms, endless practices, cheering until we lost our voices, and all the laughs in between, I will miss every second of it. The good days, the hard days, the wins, and the losses have all shaped me into the person and player I am today.

I never imagined how hard it would be to say goodbye to something that has been such a big part of my life. These past 5 years have meant more to me than words could ever explain, and I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Once a Dragon, always a Dragon! ❤️💙 Thank you, Jefferson Softball, for the most perfect ending to my high school career. I will forever be proud to be part of the team that made history!

It’s so hard to put into words to describe what this season and these girls mean to me. losing in the state championship hurts, especially knowing how badly we all wanted it, how hard we worked and fought to get there, and how much this team deserved to finish #1, but when i look back on this season, the times we had and work we went through together is what matters the most. i’ll remember the laughs, the bus rides, the celebrations, the tears, the hugs, and all the little moments that turned a team into a family. To my seniors, i wish more than anything that we could press rewind and do it all over again. thank you for the love you gave this team, the joy you brought into every single day, and the memories i’ll hold onto long after this season is over.
Yall made not just these 3 years so special, but all the years i’ve looked up to you, and the Lord giving me yall as not only teammates, but sisters, is the biggest blessing I could ever receive. It’s hard knowing that something that brought us so much happiness has to come to an end, and even harder knowing things will never be quite the same without you. We may not have gotten the ending we prayed for, but I wouldn’t trade this season, this team, or a single moment, game, or hard practice with y’all for anything. Because at the end of the day, it was never just about winning a state championship, it was about the people beside me, the time we had, and the memories we made along the way, and that’s something no loss could ever take away. I love y’all more than words could ever explain. forever my team. forever my seniors. forever more than a game. by @mattydflicks
