It took me a bit to get my words together, because I wanted to make sure this was all real. I can now say that I am truly humbled, excited, and proud to have been selected to dance in the Monsters show as a main cast member for @dianamatos and @calvitjr .

If you know me, you know how much Monsters means to me. This convention has always been a part of my dance journey. I took my first Monsters class at 5 years old and I have been back every year since. Making the Rebirth Kids Cast in 2019 was such a great experience and I’m really looking forward to performing again with so many of my friends next month in the MORPHE cast.

I am forever grateful for the many choreographers that have trained, influenced, and helped me get here. I look forward to working with many of them this summer as we prepare for what is going to be one of the best experiences of my life.

Thank you to God for watching over me and guiding me in the right direction. Thank you to my family for always supporting me and my choices. Thank you @afunkofficial @becky_funk for creating Monsters and giving dancers a place to grow and express themselves. Thank you @ivankoumaev for all you have done as the new director.

MY FIRST WENZDAYS!!!

Crazy being the youngest to ever teach at a WENZDAYS. Shoutout to @ian_eastwood for creating a space where the dance community can come together. Over the last year @ian_eastwood has become a big mentor in my dance life and I appreciate everything he has done for me and our generation.

💡fun factz about this WENZDAY :

1. USA 🇺🇸 played Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 in the World Cup ⚽️ in the round of 32 during our session and we had a laptop 🧑‍💻 set up in the corner so everyone could watch between choreographer changes.

2. we had to make sure to do a lite track with Noahlot in the building and the energy ⚡️ was crazy 🔥 all night!

Special thanks to our editor Z for coming through even though she lost power with the flooding and the storm in the northeast.

💡 fun factz about this WENZDAY :

1. first time only chapter leaders exclusively were the teachers at a WENZDAYS. big shout out to Montreal 🇨🇦 and Chicago 🌬️ for pulling up!!!

2. have to show all the love ❤️ in the world to @sashaherrera10 for leaving us the keys so we could stay late and lock up after the session was over.

3. this was our longest session going 5️⃣ hours and tbh we prolly could have gone longer since the vibes were 🆙 all night!!

💡factz about this WENZDAY :

1. after a month away from NJ, we brought it back to the garden state 💐🌲

2. our videographer Lucas had ACL🦵🏽surgery 🏥 so Matty’s dad needed to record groups again while Lucas’ aunt Z is locked in 🔒 as the full time editor.

3. Matty picked up WENZDAYS towels 🟨 at Ian’s house so he was able to give them to the choreographers right after they taught this week.
