Got her glasses today. She turns fifteen tomorrow. I've been the luckiest man alive for fifteen years now. You're amazing kid. The kindest person I know, hands down. But you know what? You're also a spoiled piece of shit. And I couldn't love you any more than I do. All the way to the top of Galactus' helmet. ❤️🧡💜💙

Where to begin. I had no taste in music my entire childhood. I was raised on 90's country music, and as a teen I listened to the radio mostly. I mean, sure I loved Blink, and Green Day, but beyond that I was pretty much music illiterate. Until, at the age of 17 my best friend introduced me to a little album known as Nothing Gold Can Stay. I had discovered New Found fuckin' Glory. It, changed my world. Literally. I was now pop punk for life, and NFG has been my favorite band ever since. I have seen them live nine times and had the time of my life each show. I was so obsessed, in the early 00's I even started a VHS recording of all their music videos. Beyond that, their MTV Spring break performances, live concerts, and anything I could record of theirs. Now, I hate when someone passes, and people makes a post all about themselves. But, I'm simply trying to explain how much this band, and Chad Gilbert have met to me the last twenty six years of my life. In recent years, I even had a few, (brief) chats with Chad Gilbert on Instagram. He was always, always great to his fans. I touched his arm a couple times at concerts, (a big deal to Matt in his 20's.) Me and the best friend I mentioned, Chris got a few of their CDs at midnight the night of release, and rushed home to rock out to them together. Car rides jamming to them, seeing them live together so many times, this band is the soundtrack to so many of the greatest moments of my life. I'll just miss sitting around with Chris, Kyle, and Walty rocking out to New Found Glory.
Today I am consumed by sadness. For Chad, his, wife, his child, and the band. I hate that this happened.
I hate it. Fuck fuck fuck cancer. Chad, I'll always remember you, and rock out to your music until my time has come . Thank you, so very very much for all the memories you have given to me. And for all the songs that have played background during my forty three years.

I still, pick my friends over you... by @mattymutanthands

This picture is THIRTEEN years old now. It popped up in memories and I had to get it back on my page bc I have always been proud of it. It was lost from my IG page during the infamous "Australia Gate 2022."

Had to get this shot, Blayse in my Moms Sean Casey jersey. Sean was her all time favorite Reds player ever, one of the best first basemen of all time. Got this Ken Griffey Jr jersey I when I was sixteen-ish, I believe. Not a sports guy at all anymore, but we rocked the fock outta these jerseys! Love you mom!

OLD shot. 2016 or 2017 probably. But I always liked it. Used @_amber__sue_'s awesome Ted figure. Btw don't sleep on that show. It's pretty good. 💨 taken in Build-A-Bear by @mattymutanthands
