Well, what a weekend Dan & I have just had.

What a privilege to be part of The Lindis Lodge Creator Series bringing winemakers, artists and makers together to share their craft through intimate dinners, private tastings and fireside conversations.

Even with the stormy weather, this place is absolutely exquisite. Beautiful in every sense, with exceptional food, wonderful wines, great company and every comfort you could possibly want.

Needless to say, it was really hard to leave by @maudewines

What a treat. I’m a massive MasterChef fan, I’ve watched all 18 seasons, so having Andy Allen in at Maude was pretty special.
He came in with his gorgeous & talented wife Alex and their, I kid you not, ridiculously cute baby boy Jude.
Wānaka wasn’t exactly showing off with the weather that day, so we ended up tucked inside the Tasting Room on our iconic orange couch, @christinapopoviciartist colourful art above, such a nice spot to spend an afternoon.
And as you can probably tell from the glasses, we tried quite a few wines. Such a fun afternoon and definitely one I’ll remember. by @maudewines

Our maple trees are generous in every season.
Autumn brings brilliant colour. Summer brings dappled shade perfect for a long lunch beneath the canopy. And winter brings liquid gold
With frosty mornings and crisp winter sunshine, the sap is beginning to flow once again. Maple harvest has started at Mt Maude, marking one of our favourite rituals of the year. by @maudewines

Lovely review by Mark Henderson in the ODT recently, gotta say we’re pretty happy with it too. Pop up and try a glass at the Maude Tasting Room - or join Lewis on the Tasting Bench. Open Thursday through Sunday 12 a 5pm. by @maudewines

Harvest 2026 is well & truly underway here. Once again the Central Otago autumn is proving to be the shining light, after a summer that will be remembered for its absence! The fruit so far has surprised us, great aromatics & flavours, plenty of promise. A huge thanks to our fantastic group of pickers - finish strong team, not too many more picks to go! by @maudewines

We’re in the middle of veraison (pronounced ver-ray-zon) — the beautiful turning point when ripening begins. It marks the shift from berry growth to berry maturation.

During this stage, the grapes soften and begin to change colour. Pinot Noir deepens to purple — though not all berries transform at once, as you can see. Pinot Gris blushes to a dusky pink, while Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc become increasingly translucent, taking on a golden hue.

Typically for us, it means we’re about a month away from harvest commencing. And a lot can happen between now and then, so please cross fingers for us that the best of Summer is still coming our way! by @maudewines
