My mom was a god fearing country girl born and raised in the tiny town of Southern Pines, NC.

She was treated for breast cancer at an early age. Medical interventions saved her life but the technology was very crude back then. She quietly dealt with complications for the rest of her days until her decline in heath became unmanageable.

When her death was imminent, she waited until every last child and grandchild reunited at her hospice together, and then, she let go.

After her death, we discovered something in her basement. —> continued in comments taken in Southern Pines, North Carolina by @mauronic
