Razor sharp turns unlocked 👇

Forget lifting your feet, the secret is crossing them smoothly while keeping both skates glued to the ground.

Lean hard into the turn, let your outside skate cross over the inside one.

Practice slow at first, then build speed. Who’s leveling up their turns with this? 🙌

Stop wasting time on transitions 👇

Stop focusing on the forward to backward switch.
Instead, learn to skate without lifting your feet.

Master the arc, shift your weight, and watch it happen naturally, no forcing needed.

This is the real shortcut.

Not doing it KILLS your progress 👇

If you can’t skate without lifting your legs yet, start by spreading both feet wide (this makes you roll forward) and then closing them again. This is often called the “lemons” exercise.

Doing it consistently across multiple skate sessions will build your confidence, improve your technique, and strengthen the muscles you need to push wide on one leg , which is exactly what makes you turn.

Staggered stance = instant rear view 👀

You create a lot of speed with backwards fish. After that you relax in staggered stance, look over the shoulder of the leg behind you, and your hips lock in automatically. In staggered stance you can easily look behind you.

Progress gets easy when you do this 🙏

Combine the balance practice with the push-off and the stride + one-leg rolling gets stronger every time you do it.

People will think you’re crazy for doing this… but boring makes perfect.

If your moves stay weak (crossovers, etc.), do them endlessly in circles. Days after days. That’s how you actually level up.

So… repetition.

This is why you feel like a penguin 🐧

Many people skate with their feet next to each other and get nowhere.

One leading leg + one pushing leg = actual glide.
Try this and feel the difference.

Work on that one leg balance 🙏

Seriously, you’re wasting every skate session and don’t even realize it 👀

Straight legs = zero power, zero progress, and you’re basically just moving like a penguin.

Bend your knees so you can actually output force and train your legs.

Stop wasting time on every move. Fix this.

Cut the move into pieces or stay scared 😨

When you don’t feel confident, don’t force the full move. Hold something, stand in the position, and just wiggle on your edges. Your muscles and nervous system get used to it. Cut every scary skill into pieces and treat it like training with progressions. A couple sessions and the fear is gone. Same method works for anything.

Beat fear and learn new skills this way 🙏

T-stop not enough? Then zigzag and eventually turn to a complete stop.

Basics keep you safe at all times.

You asked for it, so here it is. The slowmotion of the Sun.

The first thing I do is a cross with my right leg leading and then the weight shifts on that leg and I just turn.

And I do the same cross again backwards with the right leg and I turn again.

And it's all right turning in this case.

So when you lead with the right leg, you keep turning right, and it's just a endless rotation.

To really nail this move, you need to practice it with cones.

This move stays locked until the foundation is done.

The Sun is one of the best and most fun slalom moves you can learn, but only after you master the foundation moves:
- Fish
- Snake
- Crisscross
- One-leg

Master those, then the Sun becomes one of the most fun moves you can do on skates.
