A glimpse into the creative process and the cinematography development behind MEAT. The first nomination I have received as a cinematographer comes from one of the cinematography societies I admire most: the ASC.

I couldn’t feel more honored and grateful. This year, I was nominated for the Henner Hofmann ASC International Student Heritage Award for my work as cinematographer on CARNE, directed by Adolfo Margulis. 🎞️

Thank you to the ASC selection committee for recognizing my work and for giving even more meaning to the entire journey behind this film.

Thank you to Adolfo ( @adolfo.margulis )for entrusting me with the visual language of this story, and to the entire team that made CARNE possible. Cinematography is a completely collective effort, built by many people who make it possible for every image and every sound to find its place and meaning.

This nomination represents years of learning, making mistakes, persevering, and continuing to search for my own way of making films. It also reminds me of the privilege and responsibility of sharing this journey with people who believe in me and who have been part of my inspiration: Andrés Herrera( @andreasherrera ), Félix Bermúdez( @feliz_o_felix ) Chinto Baron ( @ram.bler66 ), and my beautiful CCC ( @cccmexico .

I’m incredibly proud of what we made.

I’m deeply grateful for life, which is beautiful.

Thank you, @the__asc . ❤️ Master Henner Hofmann, we miss you.🌊🍃🎥 taken in Cdmx by @mausinfiltro
