I didn’t know that this past weekend would be the last time Odin would recognize me after 12 1/2 years.

Odin unexpectedly crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge just three days shy of meeting a rescued puppy. A puppy who just like him was found walking alongside a road in South Carolina.

I know he would’ve been a great loving and doting uncle to this dog. But we just ran out of time and that breaks my heart.

I’m so grateful for the extra year we had together thanks to chemotherapy treatments. He never showed any sign of illness until this week.

I’ve had a lot of dogs in my life, but never one who loved back so hard. We called him lover boy or sweet boy because he was all those things.

During his life, he would come to accept all sorts of other rescues in this household. He was so gracious about sharing me with them.

He gave me and everyone around him so much joy

I truly miss him. 🐕 😭💔😭🥺😔🤦‍♀️

Unexpected tough day. My HVAC guys, Bryan and Mike, were asking where is your other pup?!?!?

I told them what happened with her illness and they were visibly affected. They love dogs and looked forward to visiting with Odin and Olive.

They are so sorry and I am too, my sweet girl. We remember you. 💔😘

Calling out to all those fur parents who are managing #caninecancer #caninelymphoma #caninechemo

I have entered my rescue, Odin, for the 2025 Charotte Magazine Pet Photo Contest, because I feel pets who are seniors living with cancer should be recognized and celebrated!

Odins cancer is being cared for by @cvsmatthews by Dr. Claudia McFadden

Voting ends on August 1. I really appreciate your support!

I will add the link in my bio. Search “Odin” to vote for my guy! 🥹
