What if the journey is the whole point? 🌐

Wise words from Mr Von: “If there’s no struggle, then it’s nothing, there’s no journey…”

Another wise man once said, “Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.”

So keep moving, go make some magic.

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with the team at @hellolevee in Perth, creating a short film around the work they are doing in the trades industry.

We went into the interviews expecting to talk about company culture.
Leadership. Retention. What makes a good workplace.

But one question kept coming up.
And every person answered it the same way.

What does the trades need more of?
People.

Halfway through the shoot, it clicked.
Everyone was not just answering a question. They were telling the same story.

Across Australia, the trades are facing a national shortage. An estimated 90,000 additional workers are needed by 2030 just to meet housing demand. Yet the issue is not awareness of jobs or pay. It is how we value the people behind the work.

Tradies do not just build houses.
They build communities.
Hospitals. Infrastructure. The systems we rely on every single day.

And still, the industry is too often overlooked, misunderstood, or reduced to numbers.

What stood out about Levee is that they are not treating this like a recruitment issue. They are treating it like a human one.
Putting people back at the centre.
Matching values, culture, and long term growth.

Real change does not come from talking about it.
It comes from leading it.

Huge respect to the Levee team for raising the standard and backing the people who keep this country running. taken in Perth, Western Australia by @mavestonemedia

A story instead of a showreel.

@steven’s company @flightstory asked me to send one over, but I decided to do what I do best: tell a story.

I don’t just want to make content. I want to work with great people and create films that inspire change.

This video is the start of that journey.
