Sometimes we confuse proximity and access with love and care.

We think that because someone has access to us, knows our emotions, shares our intimacy and has been part of our everyday life, there must be a deep level of care behind it.

Sometimes there is and we can’t deny it of course.

Sometimes, though, we keep knocking on a door that simply cannot open, convinced that closeness and intimacy must mean connection.

And then life surprises you….you sit down with someone you have not properly spent time with in months…maybe you have only seen each other in passing, maybe you never thought the two of you had that much in common.

Yet, over a drink or two, a chat, you feel understood and seen in a way you did not expect.

You realise that someone does not need constant access to your life to really deeply care about you. They do not need to speak to you every day to see something in you that others may have missed, or took for granted for months.

Being close to someone and being connected to them are not always the same thing. Because closeness can be an illusion, but true, deep connection rarely is.

I’m happy and excited to welcome @dolcavanleeuwen to CURATED.

Dolça is one of those genuinely kind souls who brings the same energy to the people around her as she does to the music. Always ready to support other artists, she moves naturally between different worlds, from clubs and festivals to major corporate events, while keeping her identity and style intact.

Behind the decks, there’s always a strong sense of taste and intention. Her selections are solid, elegant and versatile, and she has that ability to adapt to the room without losing her own musical character.

Spanish-Dutch DJ and producer Dolça van Leeuwen is based in Girona, Spain, with a sound moving between progressive house, melodic techno and emotional electronic music.

Her music combines powerful grooves with atmospheric and deeply emotive moments, building tension and creating journeys that go beyond simply making people dance.

She has performed at major international events, clubs and festivals across Europe, while continuing to develop a project focused on storytelling, emotion and connection through electronic music.

Dolça is also a resident at El Club Girona and a host on Bloop London Radio, two spaces that allow her to keep exploring different sides of her musical identity.

I’m excited to welcome @kardanomusic to CURATED.

Kardano is an artist who clearly understands both sides of the industry, the love for the craft itself, but also the reality that surrounds it. There’s passion in what he does, but also a very grounded awareness of how much perseverance it takes to keep creating, evolving and staying true to your work. And he likes to bike under the rain while singing!

From remixing Chicago house legend Ron Carroll’s “Lost” on Carrillo Music to receiving support from Nicole Moudaber, who featured “Snoop”, released under his Giglianni alias, on In The Mood, Kardano has steadily built his own path through electronic music.

His releases span a wide range of independent labels, including Lenny Fontana’s Karmic Power Records, Play Records, Lisztomania Records and Stereophonic, alongside releases through his own imprint, Fusion Groove Recordings.

Beyond music, Kardano’s creative work also extends into the visual world. He has received three European Music Video Awards, including Best North America Music Video at the Rome Music Video Awards, as well as Best Pop Music Video and Best Dance Music Video at the Europe Music Awards.

Wanting things to happen faster is normal, especially when you’ve been working for years and feel like you’re still waiting for your chance, but be careful, desperation can change the way you make decisions.

You start looking for shortcuts, trusting people because they seem connected, paying for opportunities you would normally question, changing direction because someone promises results, or saying yes simply because you’re afraid another opportunity might not come.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to move faster, and there’s nothing wrong with getting help, building connections or investing in your career.

The problem starts when wanting success becomes more important than asking whether something, or someone, is actually right for you.

There are ways to accelerate your journey, but there is no shortcut to becoming ready.

I’m stoked to welcome @itsbasik to CURATED.

BasiK is not only a genuinely good soul and a humble human being, he’s also someone who keeps his feet firmly on the ground. He doesn’t throw the word “success” around, he stays focused on the music, the work and what comes next.

His energy is infectious, always positive, always moving, and that same energy comes through in his sound: punchy, uplifting, full of movement and impossible to stand still to. It’s very easy to connect with both the person and the artist.

Cleveland-born, Basik blends his background in percussion with punchy drums, UK-inspired basslines and euphoric, high-energy grooves built for the club.

Since launching the project in late 2023, he has quickly gained momentum on both sides of the Atlantic, earning multiple Top 100 chart placements and taking his sound to cities including Ibiza, Detroit, Brooklyn, Chicago, Puerto Rico and Cocoa Beach, before closing out 2024 with a performance at Germany’s Fairgrounds Festival.

Now based in Chicago, BasiK remains closely connected to the city’s evolving underground scene, sharing lineups with artists including Silva Bumpa, Salute, Habstrakt, Danny Byrd, Wuki, Flosstradamus, Bladerunner, Inja, DJ SS, Shiba San, Barely Alive and Truth.

Focused on continuing to refine his sound without compromise, he is currently finishing a new run of material set for release throughout 2026.

Music hits differently depending on the day, your mood and where you are in life. Sometimes, the right track finds you at exactly the right time, and this one did.

This track is pure joy, hope and excitement for the future, it makes you want to smile.

The relentless rhythm of the drums keeps everything moving, the chords perfectly complement the angelic, sensual voice.

Every element feels carefully placed, especially the break, which builds the perfect tension before exploding into a drop that makes you want to jump.

I close my eyes and picture myself driving down the highway, moving to a new city, about to start a completely new chapter.

REJECTION IS DATA.

Rejection feels personal, especially when you keep receiving no reply, no booking, no release and no opportunity. It is easy to turn someone else’s decision into a judgement of your ability, but a no rarely tells the full story.

Sometimes the work needs to improve, sometimes it has simply reached the wrong person at the wrong time. The important part is learning to treat rejection as information, look honestly at what it can teach you, take what is useful and leave the rest behind.

The more rejection you experience, the less power each no has over you, not because you stop caring, but because you understand that one person’s decision is not a final verdict on your art.

I feel her DJ set at Greenvalley is one of the best sets I’ve ever seen and listened to, the perfect warm-up, with such a carefully curated tracklist.

A musician since childhood, MAYA developed a deep sensitivity to storytelling through music. Her sets move effortlessly between progressive house, deep tech and organic textures, adapting to the energy of each space without ever losing their identity.

She has performed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including appearances at Greenvalley’s 17th Anniversary alongside Michael Bibi and Beltran, Terra Solis Dubai, exclusive Formula 1 and FENDI events, while becoming a recurring guest on Ibiza Sonica Radio’s Supersonicos.

I’ve always had a strong connection to Ten Walls and his music, the way he’s able to comunicate with us on a deeper level, creating soundscapes that resonates with our souls.

I’m emotionally bound to Walking With Elephants, I treasured the vinyl for a long time, before gifting it to a very, special person to which I’m bond through a deep and strong soul connection. You know who you are.

Code Vein is, in my modest opinion, another real gem from Ten Walls, something we’ve been waiting for without even knowing we needed it.

I chose this track for its melodies, the richness of its sound and the depth hidden beneath an apparently simple pattern.

There is something in its structure that reminds me of the sea in my beloved Puglia: calm on the surface, but deep, layered and powerful underneath.

It takes you on an inner journey, moving from a smooth, soothing rhythm into a break that feels like your soul is being squeezed, before suddenly pushing you back up into the sky.

The goal can change, and that does not mean the journey has failed.

We often begin with a clear idea of where our art should take us, what success should look like and who we are supposed to become, but the more we create, the more we discover about our sound, our vision and ourselves.

Sometimes the process opens a door we never considered, leading us towards something completely different from the original plan, and changing direction does not mean giving up, it means allowing the art to evolve with us.

The plan can guide you, but it should never become a cage.

Art has been part of Beatrice’s life from the very beginning, long before she began defining herself as an artist, she plays bass and guitar, she sings, and she has a natural eye for detail together with a refined ear that allows her to notice what others might easily miss.

Driven by determination, curiosity and that kind of stubbornness every real artist needs, the kind that keeps you moving forward and refusing to give up on your dreams, even when life seems determined to tell you otherwise.

For Beatrice, music can be defined through three words:

Journey
To me, music is a journey, a boundless space where I explore my inner world through emotions, experiences and silences, transforming them into sound. It is where I feel free to express my artistic identity authentically, allowing each track to tell a part of my story. More than a destination, music is the path that allows me to be fully myself.

Faith
To me, music is faith. Not an unchanging certainty, but something I entrust myself to every day. It is where the noise fades away and everything begins to make sense again. It is a space of connection, presence and freedom, where every sound becomes an exchange of emotions that goes beyond words.
