May I suggest a toothbrush? Or maybe an entire tin of mints? 😅🤢🪥

Today’s affirmation: You’re as big as you feel. Don’t let anyone make you feel small!

We went on a road trip for our 6 month check up with the cardiology specialist. I had to have an echocardiogram to see the condition of my heart. In March, I had progressed to stage B2, and began taking medicine to help my heart do its job. The results came back that I remain in stage B2, but my heart has enlarged, which is somewhat troublesome, and can help explain why I’ve been coughing so much. The doctor was optimistic though that if I kept taking my medicine, I would continue to live a healthy life. I was the best boy, and all of the staff loved me and thought I was the cutest thing ever (they weren’t wrong!).

Look out world! We’ve got a new driver on the road! This now 16-year old earned his license after rigorous training and hours in the car. He still prefers mom to drive however, as he has embraced the role of “passenger prince”. 🚘

To my darling Maxwell. Maximus. Max a quarter million…

Today you are another year older. It’s your golden birthday - sweet 16. Your muzzle is now home to more white hairs than brown, and your eyes have a slight glaze that highlights the wisdom you possess.

While the day you were born is supposed to be a celebration, I cannot help but feel sadness when I think about another year of your life passing us by. Your life expectancy is stunted compared to mine, and every day that passes brings us closer to the end of our road together.

Rather than focus on the ticking clock, I want to instead think about all the wonderful experiences we’ve shared, and the countless things you have taught me over the past sixteen years.

Thank you for making me a better person.
Thank you for teaching me unconditional love.
Thank you for not being the dog I wanted, but the dog I desperately needed.

You are so, so loved. And I’m so privileged to be your mama. Happy golden birthday my sweet boy.👑🐾

Teddy ❤️ today you’ve been gone for 3 years. I can’t describe how much I miss you or how much life feels empty without you. My best friend forever, in this life and the next. 🪽🌈🐾💔

15 years old and still handsome as ever 😍 This past year has really flown by. I went to more places and did all the things. And through it all, I kept smiling my sweet little smile. 😊🐾
