As gospel musicians, we must remember that having a gift does not mean we are spiritually healthy. We can be effective on stage, celebrated for our talent, and still be empty in private. Sometimes we spend more time perfecting our sound than working on our souls. We must never allow opportunities, money, fame, relationships, pride or recognition to become greater than our relationship with God.

Sometimes what we need is not another breakthrough, but alignment. When God opens our eyes to what needs to change, we must be humble enough to return, repent, realign and rebuild. Guard your heart, your convictions, your gift and above all, your relationship with God. The gift is powerful, but the Giver must always remain greater. 🙏🏽🕊️

This is not a post of perfection, but of repentance and reflection.
