There’s never an easy way to stop doing something that you loved, and something you grew up on. But at the end of the day you gotta make the best decision for yourself and that should always stand true.

Football meant so much to me, helped me make so many friends and memories that I’ll carry with me throughout life. However it quickly hit me the toll doing two sports has on both the body and mind.

So I knew I had to make a decision to give up football to pursue bigger goals as a thrower at Northwood University, as my heart just lays with track more. I am forever grateful for the relationships I’ve built with teammates and coaches on the Northwood University Football team and hope people will understand.

This decision will help me be the best person and thrower I can be, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! by @max.stoecker
