Epic 3 days of Racing has come to a close and Im craving more. I bought this car months ago, made barely any changes and it performed incredibly this weekend. Apart from a cracked header it was flawless. I enjoyed being the underdog car chasing the top. I made many mistakes in the first three races getting to know the car, but once I was in tune with it we were a force to be reckoned with. Under power, over weight, no abs, and a dream. In race 4 it all came together, although I did not win, we placed a 2nd overall for the weekend and I drove harder than I’ve ever driven before, and fell in love with this car at this track. This has brought back the drive I have to go racing and show everyone how much we can do with so little.

I couldn’t have done it without the support of my beautiful supportive girlfriend @carlystaab who always helps me overcome my pre race anxiety and keeps my head level when I get stressed. I couldn’t have done it without the support from family and friends who help where they can and alleviate the load off my shoulders.

Special thanks to @italian_stang who always supports me and his company @speeditaliaracing which kept my aero intact and functional all weekend, protecting my splitter from brutal impact after brutal impact

Special thanks to my crew @thirty_hp @geist_e36 and everyone else who chipped it when they could. It means the world to me that others find joy in seeing me succeed, and gives me motivation to do more and be better. Let’s just say this weekend was for PB’s and records 🍻 I will upload the 1:16.7 lap on YouTube since the camera is awful. Meanwhile these are 3 consistent 1:17.5 laps in the hotter part of the day. I’m blown away by the capabilities of this car. This was with a partially wet track aswell. I will be back for the 1:15 very soon. taken in Thunderhill Raceway by @max_drives

What a heartbreaking event. During the weekend we knew we needed new tires to be competitive in our class, but could only find wider tires, so we asked @gridlifeofficial officials if we could move up to TrackMod, and with extreme certainty were told we could and were given banners and decals. Our car is out gunned, out tired for TrackMod, but we still were hopeful.

We spent all night hunting down a set of tires, going back to the shop, getting them mounted, all while helping a fellow driver rebuild their car for their race the following day. I had one lap on a new setup to lay down a competitive lap, with all our prior lap times erased. knowing the drivers in TrackMod had all weekend to do so. I was under a lot of pressure, lacked sleep and we were financially strained.

I drove as smooth as I could, almost matching the optimal lap. I put down a 1:33.052 which qualified us for podium sprint by .05 of a second. And we deserved every bit of that victory after a painful year of hard work. Instead, the same Gridlife officials who gave us the green light, told us they were stripping us of this achievement, telling us we were done for the weekend because of a rule technicality they themselves overlooked.

To say we are disappointed is an understatement. It took everything we had to get to this point. We weren’t cheating, we just put our trust in an organization that let us down, didn’t compromise, didn’t take responsibility for their mistake. Wouldn’t even let us run for fun and DQ us regardless of how we did in podium sprint. We didn’t want the trophy, we wanted to show what we could do. We deserved our chance at podium this weekend, our hard work and my driver skill in a well setup car got us there. @rocketfish_eng and I deserved this chance, instead we were sent home with nothing. Thank you to our sponsors @rvng_raceworks @gktech_official @turn8racing for helping us along the way, my beautiful girlfriend @carlystaab for supporting me and having my back, and our family and friends for watching and supporting us this weekend. This one’s going to hurt for a while but you all made it easier to deal with. by @max_drives

Rd2 @globaltimeattack at @theridgemotorsportspark left us wanting more. Due to budget constraints we are fighting issues with the differential which is stuck in a locked position, making it nearly impossible to put down power. I did everything I could to string together a fast lap but fell short of the 42’s the data was showing us. Here’s a 1:44 lap from the from the end of the day. Hopefully we can find funding for the rear end fix before rd3. by @max_drives
