I’M GOING TO VANDY!!!!!!!!!

I’m sorry for making everyone wait so long, but I am unbelievably happy to announce that I am going to Vanderbilt University to major in Percussion Performance and Economics!

Thank you God for your excellent plan. Thank you Mom and Dad for going along on this emotional rollercoaster and for your unbelievable love and support. To the rest of my family, especially Uncle Sean and Aunt Lynn, your constant prayers for me have meant so much. I think they worked :)

Thank you so much to @perclee and @jihyepercussion who have been the most kind and helpful people ever through this process! The opportunity to study with you both is an incredible honor that I am astonished to have. Go ‘Dores!

I’m incredibly excited to announce that I’m performing a senior recital this year!

This program contains some of my favorite pieces of music of all time, including some true bucket list solos and chamber pieces with some of my longest-time friends.

I would love to see you there! (Especially if your in college now and I haven’t see you since UNT camp or All-State)

Niflheim by Csaba Zoltan Marjan!

I learned this piece two years ago but was never really happy with it. I had to bring it back out fairly quickly, but I’m extremely happy with how it turned out.

Mallets: Keiko Abe S7, 06, 06, 06 in Birch

Canned Heat by Eckhard Kopetzki!

I learned this piece in about three weeks. It’s the first multi solo I’ve learned, and it was a great experience! Learning the notation took a third of the whole time, and after that it went very smoothly. I hope you enjoy the full video!

Well… first run of this is done! I went too fast from nerves, but I surprisingly held together really well and at least my tempo was steady. Plenty to improve on but overall a great first performance of this.

Also, sorry about the video quality lol

Did some medal detecting 🥇 🥈 🥉

Funny story: I was originally listed as having a 68.50 in concert snare despite my judge sheet saying 92.50. So they unfortunately announced the wrong person at the event. If anyone who was there or that I talked to was wondering, that’s what happened by @max_grooves_
