1 week ago I competed in the 2025 West Coast Naturals and Border States bodybuilding competitions.

I first want to thank God for giving me the strength to persevere. This last season put so much pressure on my faith, although in turn it only made it stronger.

I also want to thank beccagriffin07 for being so extremely supportive through all the highs and lows of this prep. I truly don’t know how I could have done it without her endless support on my hardest days.

I want to thank my coach @dcurione_fit for guiding me through this entire prep, keeping me in line, and driving me forward. Last but not least, thank you to my family and friends who were always there to help and support me any way they could.

This prep has been the most demanding period of my life and has forced me to grow more than I ever have. It stripped away all vices, most of which I didn’t even know I had. It made me face problems I used to bury in my day-to-day life. There were countless days I felt like I couldn’t even get out of bed, but I still had to make it to the gym, do an hour of cardio, eat, and go back for a full workout.

The biggest struggle I faced though was my own mental health. With the extreme hormonal drops from prep and clearing out all distractions, I fell into a pretty severe depressive episode, fighting with everything I had just to get through the day for weeks. I struggled with extreme mood swings, anxiety, and hopelessness, feeling like it was never going to end.

Although in those times I was able to find comfort in God and His word while seeking support from the community around me. Overall I’ve learned how to enjoy the little things, how supportive my loved ones truly are, and what “hard” really feels like. by @max_sabin1
